Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

Ginny did you consider first day of cycle? I was wondering if they would increase the steroids but all I know is for now he wants me to do 10 mg a day.

This fs considered first day of full flow as day 1.. but it didnt really make a difference as I didn't stop taking them at any point. Did gain lots of weight though!

Oh no. I've been losing weight I don't want to gain any! I was more concerned for the clomid. Well I feel better knowing someone else has been on it full cycle

Florida that is one of the main side affects im afraid...... weight gain, insomnia, hyper, mania, facial hair growth, moon face and probably a few others. as i said earlier, they are not a very nice drug at all

Not everyone gets the side affects, i was okish from what i can remember, my appetite started to pick up really bad at about 10-11 weeks but then i weened off them at 12w

The bloat does go once you have weaned off

One of my friends really balloons up on them, she looks 9 months pregnant bless her x

Due to being pregnant on and off for the last two years I gained quite a bit await and was finally losing a big chunk of it. Facial hair? Oh no lol I know about majority of the symptoms that one is new. Took my first one a bit ago as af is on for sure now. Will just have to move everything forward a day.
Your poor friend. Well I've been praying for the best. How are you hope? I saw you were possibly going to ttc soon?

Yep we are allowed to ttc again now :) The 6 month wait went pretty quick actually as ive been so busy trying to piece together what went wrong that day x

I think of you and what happened. I'm sorry you ever had to experience that. Are there other local hospitals to choose from?

There are other hospitals but not really local, its just not going to be possible for me to go to them. Next time round i am going to go into hospital at 24-25w till i deliver at 36w

I work for myself and have a business that still needs to be run and i am going to have to do that from my hospital bed and my partner will bring in my work on different days. I will go home once a week to tie up lose ends and have a big fat roast dinner :)

It takes us 20m to get to the hospital, the other hospitals are more than 40m drive

Even though i despise them right now, they know my history, they are 20 mins up the road and they get to put right this fuck up they've caused me. I am hoping they will be bending over backwards for me and im not sure if i will get the same care elsewhere

i dont know what to do because they be getting a solicitors letter shortly x

I know someone who had to do that. Well if it's gets you and your lo home safe it's all worth it. I'm sure hoping they'll be extra careful and thorough this time.

Hope, they had better treat you like a queen!

Dairy, if you tell the pharmacist you have a suspected clotting issue then the lovenox is to protect you from having a dvt in pregnancy. It is a standard procedure. Worst case, if it is the brand causing them a headache, then you'll need them to call your doctor so your prescription can be changed. I think clexane is the preferred lmwh brand in pregnancy in the US but don't quote me on it. Good luck with that!

Florida, glad you have a plan. I was on Clexane in this pregnancy (same thing as Lovenox) because I was treated for implantation issues & apparently a low dose helps to promote placenta development. In my 5th pregnancy, I was on a higher dose as they told me that, even though the blood clotting tests came back normal, it's possible as an RMC'er that I had a clotting problem that hadn't been identified - they just don't know everything about RMC yet. That obviously wasn't the problem in my case as I lost that pregnancy, but there are two very viable reasons why a pregnant RMC'er might use Lovenox. I hope you can get sorted.

I'm getting a hand written script from the rms. I didn't know that love box can help with develop placenta. I think that's an issue I have. I can't make it to the stage the placenta grows.

Yeah I was losing all mine between 5-8 weeks. I was on 20mg Clexane daily from 6 weeks. I had to stop at 9 due to to spotting; otherwise I'd have taken it to 13 weeks. But I also had an endometrial scratch which I've posted an explanation for in the PARL thread & might be worth your while considering - I think it's one of the main factors that helped me.

Florida I had no side effects from the steroids.

Squig I wonder if I can have it while getting an Iui? I'm pulling out all the drops because if this doesn't work I may hang it up. I'm going to call Monday and ask. And clexane is like lovenox? How far along are you squig? We sound similar I've miscarried from 6 to 8.5 weeks

Tasha that's encouraging. I've taken them 3 times now and haven't noticed anything so far

Clexane and lovenox are the same in theory (both lmwh - low molecular weight heparin products), just different brands. It could be that your pharmacist was worried because Clexane has been used more in pregnancy. Clexane is standardly used to prevent life threatening clots (thrombosis) in pregnancy but not so standard for fertility. That's why I suggested mentioning that you have a suspected clotting disorder. It would make more sense to your pharmacist as there is an internationally recognised protocol for clot prevention in pregnancy, lmwh for fertility/RMC on the other hand is mostly unproven. Also, arguing about the placenta might not make sense to a pharmacist because if they look the medication up one of the main things it says is that heparin does not cross the placenta (squig, I'm not disagreeing with you at all, just pointing out how a pharmacist would see it).
Your doctor should be able to sort this out for you :hugs: my guess is you'll be switched to clexane and everyone will be happy.

Hi Ladies hope I can still stay here just feel ni need to be somewhere at the moment, ladies to get all the care you have had as in steroids lovenox etc did you get all this care just from the tests at the hospital or was you all refered?
