Hi Daviess3.
I was reffered for test after my 4th m/c as I was absolutely devastated and tbh inconsolable in the EPAS unit and seeing as though I know the nurses in EPAS fairly well, they fast tracked through for tests, so luckily didn't have to go to gp.
From what I remember, I had my appointment within 5-6 weeks, and yes, was told not to get pg again until after thest, only we did even through we weren't trying , we went to WPAS and they told us to keep the appt anyway and see what happened in the meantime, I m/c'd about a week after this, so just carried on with the appt for tests.
I don't want to dash your hopes, but don't expect too much from the NHS testing, if this is the route you are going down.
Both mine and dh's tests came back fine and all we got was aletter saying everything was ok and to contact EPAS once we got pregnant again.
This is when I decided to take things into my own hands and when we gor our 5th BFP, I started taking 75mg of aspirin, then a few days later started taking progesterone which had been prescribed for me bu a specialsit for somethng else.
However, I understand for the best chance with progesterone you must take it the day after ov or thereabouts for 2 weeks, then stop if you get a negative or continue for 12 weeks when you get BFP, then at 12 weeks the placenta should take over.
On my 6th pregancy I started the progesterone and 100mg of aspirin on day of my BFP and got further than ever, but then had ectopic, how unlucky can someone be eh!!!
Anyway, I have been looking into NK cell testing and the nurse at EPAS also discussed this with me and agreed that I should probably try progesterone again next time, this is why I am looking to get the prednisolone prescribed by my ob on Weds, then I will try all three and hopefully something will stick, it's a long journey
but hopefully one that will be worth all the heartache.
Hi Suze, thank you for your reply, when I had my laparoscopy, the surgeon, checked my left tube for me as she knew I had history of recurrent m/c and thankfully all looks well with it, so fingers crossed that I don't get another ectopic, that would be my worst nightmare, but trying to stay positive and it's great to hear about all you ladies who have conceived relatively easily with only the one tube, so thank you so much.
Pebble, I agree with Petitpas and think you should get yourself checked out incase there is any retained tissue which could cause infection, I am sorry for your loss.
