 Hello all......

In the nicest possible way, I wish I wasnt back on this thread! :nope:

My DD2 is now almost 6 months & has never been 100%, but for the past 2/3 weeks she has really been suffering, I thought it was teething at first, but when the nurofen didnt help, I had a re-think

She has been having very small amounts of milky sick come up lately, she hates being laid down, but Ok sitting on my lap, she is so restless & crys/whinges all day unless I hold her

She has started really fussing at feeds, pulling away etc & never finishes a bottle

Its so hard right now, with a toddler to take care of too

She is on AR (anti reflux) milk anyway, but not sure thats helping now, or thats not enough??

I have the Doctors with her tommorow, but just wanted you lovely ladies advice, you were always so helpful with my DD1 :hugs:

Can reflux get worse at this age? With DD1 it was terrible & by this age (I think) it started to ease

I have found reflux got worse. J is now 19 months and he has his meds increased roughly every 2-3 months. We are no further forward apart from a little weight gain.

Oh Kelly.

My DS is suffering even more than DD ever did. Ill be back in morning. Fraggles has your LO ever had tests? They usually start tests if it carries on over 12-18monrhs xx

 Firstly, Congrats on your pregnancy :happydance:

Well, the Doctor said it sounds like reflux & put her on losec, rang my health nurse & she said, try to help her naturally 1st, try weaning & see if it helps....

So, started weaning yesterday, still no improvement today, wonder how long to give it? (DD2 does enjoy her baby rice though)

Ive been in lots of tears today  Its just so hard, it was bad enough with DD1, but at least my other kids were older, now I have toddler & baby

I just dont know what to do, is it reflux, teething, both, should I medicate or not, she is now almost 6 months & never had medication for it before :nope:

:cry::loopy::cry::wacko: <<<< ME!!!

Thank you! :cloud9:

I'm so sorry this is so hard. I can't imagine what I will do if baby No2 has reflux. :hugs::hugs: I would give it a week or so and if there is no improvement I would give loses a go. Weaning should help instantly I would think but I'm no doctor! I would be very tempted to give the losec and see if it helps. This is so hard. I really hope you find a solution soon. :hugs:

Apart from ph study ecg (many of) bloods for liver function thats all. We have the added complication of recurrent and prolonged diarrhoea (its been happening for 9 months and that seems to be adding to the problems). What worries me most is he picks up bugs and every 5-6 weeks he ends up as an emergency in hospital yet we end up no where. Im sick of the iv drips for dehydration and the tubes down the nose to get his blood sugars up.
