Hi everyone,

I'm scheduled for a lap and dye in a few weeks with a suspected hydrosalpinx. I've given them the go ahead to remove the tube at the same time if that's necessary and just been doing a bit of research (via Mr Google) and getting conflicting stories (nowt new there!) about time off after the procedure.

Wondered if anyone had any experience of this and how much time off was needed.

Ta,

Well Helen it's not exactly the same, but I had surgery to remove an ectopic at which point they had to remove the tube. I was back on my feet in about a week. I did light duty for 2 weeks and I feel really good. They had to do a large incision on my abdomen though because they couldn't see through all of my adhesions laparoscopically so I would imagine it would be a much quicker recovery that way. Hope this helps.
