resizing photos

help!! I cant find anything on resizing photos! I never used to have a prob in attaching a photo then the criteria must have changed and now my pictures are too big!!? I normally email them to myself and save them again but this is sooo time consuming and i am having probs with hotmail at the moment. so can someone help me and point me in the direction of how to change the size of a photo so i can upload it?

I looked inthe FAQ's bb codes for images etc but cant find anything

I use a program called easy thumbnails to resize all of my photos (if you google it you should be able to find it)

What type of image is it? .jpg .gif?

Thanks guys they are jpeg - but one of the others has helped me to compress it on my laptop so i have sorted the problem now thaaaaanks xx
