Rewarming frozen??

I pulled out a 4.5oz bag for DS to see how much he might take after a really distracted and frustrating BF session. I'm trying to put him to bed after this, so I wanted to make sure his tummy was full. I thawed it directly from the freezer in warm water and he drank almost 2oz, but there is still just under 3oz left in the bottle.

Can I put it in the fridge and warm it and give it to him when he wakes up in a few hours? I always discard frozen milk after warming it once, but this is almost 3oz, so I'd really not like to waste it.

Should I toss it, or do other moms rewarm? The milk had been in the freezer less than 3 weeks and was frozen immediately after pumping.

Thanks ladies!!!

Sorry but it should be thrown out it breaks my heart to do it. As far as I'm aware the reasons are 1 your baby has introduced bacteria to the milk by feeding and it should not be used after 2 hour ,2 defrosted milk needs to be used within 12 hours and 3 can't reheat milk as bacteria may have started to grow when it was heated. I'm no expert but this is what I read on Internet so it must be true 😅😅😅 I hope I'm wring hate throwing out milk

I suspected this much. I always throw it out, but it is usually like an ounce or so... Not 3. Sigh. I thought maybe I could get away with it since I thawed it in water and immediately fed it to him, so it had only just come from the freezer like 20 minutes before.... But I'd rather be safe than sorry.
