Roll up, roll up! Statistical chance of at least one BFP! - *15th BFP Announced!*

yeah im gonna go and see what they can tell me as this cycle was 50days in total :S will keep you posted x

Good luck angel. Good idea to keep the appointment at least you have the knowledge that you're on a new cycle. Hope they do some tests for you.

Got our first fertility appointment with a nurse at an nhs clinic tomorrow. What questions shall I ask? AF due on Thursday eek

Ooo fab, hope it goes well Mrs! I would take the last few months of your temp charts and just get your GP to check them over. This will provide a clear visual picture of your cycles. I'm sure your GP will give you a well rounded overview of your options and how they advise you to proceed. In case you don't get all the responses you were looking for I would also ask the following:

- Given my charts, when is the best time to BD and how frequently?
- Is there anything else I should be using whilst TTC? (Advise GP of your experiences with Soy, CBFM, Softcups etc.) Moreover, will any of these counteract with Soy?
- How long do I have to ttc naturally before looking at investigatory fertility procedures? i.e Lap & dye / Ultrasound
- How soon can OH get a SA and what is considered bad/good levels?
- What lifestyle changes (if any) should we be making?

That's it for now, but If I think of anything else I'll let you know! Hope AF stays away for you! xxx

Thanks Leafy. I hope she stays away too. Getting some cramps so I think the timing of the appointment is perfect. Yeah, timing is important isn't it. I've been reading the NICE guidelines so I'm guessing we'll get a SA and bloods this month.

Wishing for a BFP tomorrow.

I didn't even know what the NICE guidelines were until you mentioned it! Good ol' Google! Please let us know how it goes, how are you feeling about the app?

Ok. I just hope they r kind people. If not I work for the NHS so I know who to complain to. How r u feeling?

I like your style! I reckon they will be. Fertility focused specialists are most likely the more caring of the professionals (I hope!). I feel pretty positive thanks, have a busy few couple of months ahead with family's birthdays, breaks away and adventure days. Work is manic at the moment so trying to keep myself from stressing by mixing some fun stuff in!

Good idea. Think I'll need to do the same for my sanity. Took a test this am. 25um senitive. BFN. Bet I cry!!

Ok so the chances have risen for you ladies. AF getting me.
Went to the clinic. The nurse was lovely. Phew.
Took a history and a swab for infections. Got to have bloods at cd 2-4 (Friday I hope) and cd 21. Husband has SA appointment and then we meet a consultant in December. Feeling really positive. At the dec appointment I might get some scans/tube checks.
Interestingly she said we were the first people that day that were taking folic acid! Crazy.

This month I will mostly be trying
Royal jelly
Evening primose oil
Soft cups
CBFM

I can't believe more people aren't on folic acid and I bet even less of those women hadn't been tested for rubella immunity. They do test you when you are preganant, but as my Dr said, if they find out you aren't immune its too late to have a vaccine, and all you can do is hope that you don't come in contact with anyone. I really would suggest that everyone TTC should have a test. *NotNic steps of her soap box* ;)

Good luck Mrs FX for your next cycle. Lets hope that you don't need that appointment in December!

Thanks NotNic. They didn't do a rebella test for me but I have had it for work. Placed my amazon order and planning on staying sain for the next 4 months.

Hi Mrs, sorry to hear about your BFN and imminent arrival of AF, I had everything secretly crossed for you :hugs: but every cloud has a silver lining. Your fertility specialist sounded like she's given you a good plan of action and the December app to look forward to in the sense that you'll get more answers on your fertility and who knows.. you may even get a happy surprise in the mean time!

Can't believe you were the only couple to take FA, I thought its preventative measures would be much more well known than it seems. I'm sure anyone wanting a child would do all they could to ensure the best possible start for the embryo and create the healthiest environment they could attain. Strange.

I'm also trying moonstone, hoping to get my ring next week! I swore I said I'd do anything if I thought it might help, I'm such a sucker

Hi everyone, just checking in to see how we're all doing! After lots of reading up about it, I've started to take Royal Jelly (a few days before my ov - hope it's ok to do that!) this cycle. I want to do everything to give my eggies the best chance and also heard it works wonders for PMS so that's a bonus as I'm known to do a hulk-like transformation pre AF!

Katherine I hope the moonstone works wonders for you! TBH I've read a lot of success stories from moonstone wearers so you're in with a great chance!

Hoping to get a BFP on here soon from you ladies! xxx

Thank you Lilleafylea :)

I think most women are on folic acid and just don't mention it because it's not actually a conception aid, I've added it to my signature now just so people don't think I'm not bothering with it. Before I didn't have it in though, just thought most people ttc would take it as a regular thing anyway!

Oh definitely! I think that 99% of the women on this forum (and those who are actively ttc) will be taking FA. I just think that some women may not be aware of its benefits or even know that such a thing exists which is a shame.

The NHS should issue a FA awareness week!

they really should! Why would you risk your baby having spina bifida if you could reduce the chances?! I wouldn't at all.

can i join the lotto too :flower:
using folic acid, multivitamins, cushion under the bum and BD ever second day this cycle.... AF is due Sept 9.... if this isn't my month we move on to temping, preseed, OPKs (all already ordered) next cycle

Me too! Count me in! I am on prenatal w/ DHA, pillow under, legs up!
