First off, he's on Similac Sensitive..

After researching the dangers of powdered formula and finding bugs in it, then realizing liquids are sterile (This is my first FF baby, so I'm new to this), I went ahead and bought RTF versions of the formula.

We started them on him 3 nights ago, and he had his first poo from it and its thick. Formed like play dough but softer than that.
On powder, his poos are great. Occasionally it might be runny.

But he spits up less and has way less wind on RTF than powder, and he wasn't crying or showing signs of constipation (except not going everyday like with powder).

What should I do? I have 9 liters of RTF, 12 cans concentrate, and 5 cans powder (which I'd rather not use) to work with!

Thank you :)

ETA: I make powdered formula really accurately. I'm that freak with a measuring cup and kitchen scale making sure the ratios.are.PERFECT. So his powdered formula wasn't run down or anything.

Ready mix tends to be thicker than powdered. I always found dd drank less ready mix than powdered, and ds is similar. The thicker formulation is probably helping the spit up (thinking reflux and thickened formulas here). But as they're thicker it may be the cause of the harder poos. Though as long as they're not hard and pellet like lo is ok. I'd carry on with the ready mix if you prefer it. Lo may just be taking time to adjust to th change?

Weird! He eats way more RTF than powdered! I always thought it was opposite.

It does help his reflux a whole bunch, it just threw me off seeing a poo that looked like he was eating solids!

Thank you for your response! I'm glad it's not some weird reaction he needs to go to the doctor for lol! :)
