Runny poo on aptimil?!

We are having the whole runny mustard poo thing as well with aptimil and its really annoying cos the nappies keep leaking and going all over her clothes! Its a shame cos Poppy seems to otherwise get on fine with the formula! I thought about changing to another brand but then I thought maybe that was a bit selfish seeing as she does get on ok with the milk? Then i thought maybe i just need different nappies (using pampers baby dry at the moment). What are you all using?

OMG.....my daughter i also called Poppy and yes the runny poos cause a clothes change nearly every time. It's always up the back. I have also wondered about nappies. I have just put her in pampers size 3 and thought maybe they r too big. But according to weights on the packet im diung right. Plus the size 2 seems small.

Im glad it's just not me finding this with aptimal!! We are also the same that she is really happy on the milk, it's just the poo issue!!!

There's been a lot of talk in baby club about pampers size 3 nappies always leaking poo. I found size 4's sorted the problem as they go much higher up LO's back and done up tight they don't leak a thing and going by the weight size on the packets she's more a size 3 not 4 but ever since i went to size 3 I had to change her clothes with every poo x

Aliyah started off on SMA and was constipated and then i switched her to Aptamil and she had the most runniest poo's ever!x

I always thought runny poo is good. I bf my baby for the first 5 weeks then switched to formula. Her poo was always yellow seedy like when I bf her as bm acts as a natural laxative. I then slowly switched her to Aptimal and her poos are still seedy yellow and runnyish. I'd rather have runny poos than a constipated baby x

OMG I cant tell you how relieved i am to hear you are all having the same issues as me - started by DS on SMA but was sooooooo constipated - poor little mite, then tried cow and gate but that made his bad trapped wind even worse so eventually put him on aptamil - he seems much better and has one dirty nappy per day however, yes very yellow and so so soft almost runny and the smell OMG!!! my problem is along with that my poor boy has terrible trapped wind and his poop just explodes out of him and yep still not found a nappy to contain it yet!! have him on pampers sz 2 but after reading this thread i am def going to go upstairs and get out some sz 4 to try - i am so done with trying to get his pooped up babygrows over his head - ended up cutting the last few off they were so covered in poop!!!!

Hey chick! Have you tried asdas little angels nappies? I was having leaks in pampers with her poop on aptimal & asdas nappies have been ace!!

No probs! My lo has explosive poops which always went up her back in pampers, but they stay contained in the asda ones! The padding in the nappy goes all the way up the back so I think they are ace!! I would only use pampers/huggies now if I was desperate
