SA test

Hi, my DH's SA test is this tuesday - and I was wondering what extra things he has to do eg can anyone tell me whether we have to abstain for a couple of days before, does he need to stay off the bicycle or drink extra water? thanks

my hubby was told to abstain for no more and no less than 3 days
after the second one he had to go on a diet and take supplements to help too

Definitely abstain for 3 days. If you are wanting a true and accurate reading I wouldn't do anything to "fix" problems...as that will give a false reading. For example, starting a new vitamin or supplement or things like that.

Good luck with the SA.

I'm with the girls above - DH was told to abstain for 2-3 days. When he does his sample it has to be at the hospital in under an hour and to keep the little pot in the waistband of his undies or if you are taking about it, keep it in your bra (lumpy boob syndrome!!).
