Saddest film?

armeggedon gets me in tears every time. i alway sob no brucie dont go.

I cannot watch ET. I've watched it as a child and I went hysterical and its a family joke I will not watch I and will leave the room if its on.
the boy in the striped pyjamas, ps. I love you, ghost, the snowman (childhood memories) and that one with the dinosaurs..the land before time

Marley and me for sure, the only time I have ever seen my Dad cry was watching Marley and me. Our dog died of a twisted gut also :( such a sad film.
The notebook and P.S I love you also get me going.

Oh and war horse but that's because I love my horses and couldn't imagine any of them going through that :(

Hachi - A Dogs Tale, Marley and Me, Watership Down, My Sisters Keeper, The Rescue Of Jessica, A Walk To Remember. All made me

City Of God
Tsotsi
Hotel Rwanda
Edward Scissorhands
Toy Story 3 (I really cried!)
Life is Beautiful
Schindlers List
Where The Wild Things Are
Brokeback Mountain

and probably loads more...

The pursuit of happyness gets me every time especially the bit where they have to sleep in the toilet to the sound of bridge over troubled water!!

I'm so glad a couple of you have mentioned Armageddon!

Most people think I'm mad because I cry every time :haha:

But I start crying before it even gets sad because I know what's coming

Can't believe I just admitted that.

I also agree with some others mentioned...Green Mile, Marley & me (although didn't like the film much!), Boy in the striped pyjamas, Beaches.... I could go on! Think I'm a bit of a softy.

A lot of people have already mentioned some that really get me, like Marley and Me (oh, how I love my own Marley dog) and The Passion of the Christ. And Toy Story 3. But I have two more to add that haven't been mentioned.

Up, when Ellie is in the doctor's office crying. Oh. My. God. I can't handle it. I just can't handle it.

And then...

Ladder 49. I come from a family of firefighters, and that movie was always my worst nightmare. I watched the movie for the first time when I was about 13 and my brother had just moved to a new department, in a much bigger city where it was far more likely that scenario could happen to him than it had been in the little town he worked in before. I sobbed so hard the dish towel I was using to mop up my tears was soaked.
In the same vein, any scene with a flag-draped coffin, gun salute, and Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes ruins my day. Once you've been through a funeral ceremony like that for someone you love, it haunts you for life. I cannot hear Amazing Grace played on bagpipes without being right back to the day of the last ceremony. The gravity of the ceremony is just too tremendous to describe.

Donnie Darko - the ending gets me every time

I Am Sam! - oh god i dont think i have ever cried that much watching, when Sam turns round and says ' surley all that matters is i Love my daughter' - ah welling up just thinking about it.

Watership Down turns me into a blubbering wreck - especially when Art Garfunkel sings Bright Eyes

The film that makes me want to go sit in the garage with a hosepipe through the car window is the Lars Von Trier film Dancer in the Dark starring Bjork. Fantastic amount of crying from me whenever I watch that.

ETA: Other Lars Von Trier films that make me do that sniffy thing for hours after I've stopped crying: Melancholia and Breaking the Waves. Funny really because I hate some of his other films.

I cried at this too, really sad film!

The Notebook
Titanic
And it's not a movie per se, it's a doco, but Dear Zachary

Oh my god I have seen that documentary too, I don't think I have ever cried so much :nope: absolutely devastating.

I know right  So many emotions at once. I think OH thought I'd gone insane once I emerged from watching it, I was a complete mess.

Yes! Lachlan wanted this on the other say so put it on and had a massive boo hoo at the start of this movie (again...both OH and I cried when we saw it at the movies). The music doesn't help does it lol.
