Sainsburys New Blue tests

Sorry - was so excited about the test that I forgot to reply to the rest. Yes - I think you are right in that it should now be left alone. She got herself really worked up thinking that she was mc again but she has calmed down again now so its best not to mention it.

I really hope she gets her :bfp: soon.

I hope we all get our BFPs soon!! :)

Here's what it looked like... it's a bit blurry/fuzzy but you can see it.

Nothing is every straight forward is it?! Like I said, with my last pregnancy, again the tests didn't show positive straight away... it was always after the time limit, except the first one I did on the Wednesday, clear negative and remained negative. I just don't get the evap thing. Surely, if this is thick, blue and showed up within an hour, it's picking up Hcg??

Haven't done the pink one yet. Thought I'd do that tomorrow. I'm going to pop to the doctor in the morning and get my bloods done. I fly to India in a week and a half. If I am preggo, I can't have any vaccinations and not sure I should fly even given my history!

Sorry to droan on!! :coffee:

xx

I can see it! And it does look nice and think and blue. My evap looked nothing like that - it was much thinner.

I'm just so cautious with blue dye - I really hope this is your :bfp: but don't want to say for definite just in case.

Let me know how you get on with your red dye tomorrow.

And don't worry about droning on! If we didn't want to hear about your situation, we wouldn't be reading about it!!! Feel free to drone as much as you want :hugs:

That looks good to me hun! If that's an evap then I would sue clearblue LOL good luck with tmoros test!! Xxx

Thanks Struth!! Now I'm just totally scared of disappointment!! It's the most promising positive I've ever had and that's saying something after 4 pregnancies!! I might post elsewhere to see if anyone else has had this with CB+.

Jack's mummy - that cracked me up!! Thanks so much!

I'll let you all know how I get on tomorrow!! Wish me luck ;)

xx

ARGH!! Still inconclusive! Tesco test (pink) looks negative. Another clearblue looks positive but fainter than yesterday and before 10 mins. Plus I slept late and forgot to call the doctor. :(

Hmmm... I think given you said that you have had problems getting them to show on urine test in the past that you won't know for sure unless you get your bloods done!

Keep us posted!

I think an blue dye test is a joke! Ive done tons of them and they've always had a faint blue line that came up immediately. DH could see it too and he's not the one to admit to seeing faint lines :haha:

It does give you false hope and then seeing a negative FRER makes you hope that it's FRER that's faulty....nope, it's the blue dye test.

I have finall learned and will onl be using FRER or Superdrug's own - they are much cheaper and very sensitive!

Id love for Sainsbury's to bring their old tests back, but from what I heard the pink ones are more expensive to produce - so figures!

Thanks Struth! I will do. I know, that frustrates me too - you read about women who get really early positives but that's never happened for me! To add to that the fact that my last BFPs were after the time limit... need i say more!! ;)

Hi Maria! How are you feeling?? Ah, this whole thing is driving me insane. I feel like I need to take shares out in PTs. I'm going to try and forget about it until I see the doctor on Monday. I'm still not dealing all too great with the m/c so maybe I'm just clutching at straws!!!

has anyone got a blue evap with these tests? i done one earlier thought it was neg at first then noticed there was a viable faint BLUE line? making it a + any advice? sorry to hi-jack the thread

Hi all

I work for sainsburys and i'm wanting to know if these tests are good?

i use to use there old ones but for some reason they stopped them and brought out the new ones but they are made with blue dye.

has anyone used these? are they any good?

thanks xxx

I've tried them once before, a faint line showed but I noticed it wasnt the same thickness as the other, found out it was an evap line even though it was instant....

This month, i'm desperate to have a positive, within 10seconds of testing the damn thing showed up a criss cross of lines all over. One going across the top, a thin on going down through the middle line, and then another going across the bottom. God knows if I'm pregnant or not... thats twice i've had evap lines instantly, and i'm staying away from them from now on. £4.50 is a waste for them. Might as well trust the ClearBlue Digitals.

I just came across this post... last Thursday I did one of the new sainsbury's one's with the blue cross. After the time limit (and I know not to look), there was a faint blue line. I took another one on Saturday morning, FMU, and a faint line came up within the 10 mins. It actually came up straight away and then faded a bit but you could clearly see it although very, very faint before the 10 minute mark.

Now, I've read a lot about blue dye tests and evaps. So i thought I'd test my last one with water - I'm not mental, lol - I just wanted to see what happened as it dried. Anyway, no faint line, no evap. Anyone else tried this?! Or am i the only weirdo!

I'm waiting til tomorrow and will do another.

Personally, and not to upset anyone but they do say a line is a line and if you get a +ve result before the time limit, followed by -ve tests... I would say thats a missed miscarriage, i'm sorry. I've had 4 miscarriages, sometimes I wouldn't even get a +ve urine test.

Baby dust to all x

***Hey Lala....I just wanted to let you know that you're not mental! (about the water on the test)
You should check out www.peeonastick.com
The lady on that website tested the strips with everything....water, breastmilk, etc. They give you a lot of information about these test strips on that website. And the story she wrote about it was kinda funny.
