I was really hoping my GP would refer me for an early NHS scan but he just referred me for a routine 12 week one. At the hospital I am under, it is more likely this would be 13-14 weeks and I decided I was too impatient to wait that long.
So OH and I have booked for a private one this Saturday when I'll be 9 weeks - very excited!!!
Buuutttt, just been for my booking in appointment at hospital today and the midwife said 'I'd like to get you in early if possible, how about 23rd December, we're fully booked but will squeeze you in!'
Obviously am really really pleased that they are seeing me early, and hopefully sorting out my care plan for monitoring me through this pregnancy after Poppy being prem, but it means I'll have 2 scans very close together.
Will there be much difference in what you see at a 9 week and 10w 4 day scan do you think?!! Don't want to cancel the private one as I am really looking forward to hopefully seeing the little Pip in 3 days time!!
