i'm pretty sure af is on her way, basically at the door.

that means i would start clomid in just a couple of days.

i'm definitely scared to start this whole process.

we've tried since summer 2012 ttc#2 and it's just not happening.

i've tried every natural method you can think of.

we really wanted it to happen naturally, but it just doesn't seem to be in the cards.

i think what i'm scared of is the multiple factor. also, just the fear of trying something so completely new and foreign.

i would love to hear from others.
i could use some encouragement.
thanks.

I don't have any advice as I have not started Clomid yet, but wanted to say good luck! :)

Well, it's CD 36 and still no AF. This is kind of the "norm" for me.
I turn 40 in three weeks, so hoping to catch a healthy egg before I leave my 30's!
Good luck to all!

I didn't use clomid but injected daily with FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and then had an IUI. I wasn't ovulating (I have half an ovary in total) and hubby's count was low as well as having XYY syndrome. I also had a low ovarian reserve (AMH). Anyway, I injected with FSH which really wasnt that bad and then because it appeared I was surging naturally at CD10, had to rush to the clinic and trigger with Pregnyl all on same day (within an hour of the procedure being done, I was triggering).

It was all a rush "Get in NOW" type of thing but it worked for us - we got our :BFP: 14 days later on our first IUI. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and it hasn't been easy but because of the fertility treatment I have been monitored closely.

Anyway....don't be scared. I cannot speak for clomid but FSH (even with the side effects) was alot easier than I thought and the actual IUI itself was a breeze!

Good Luck to you :)

On my 2nd month of Clomid... I was freaked out about the side effects bc I always read horrible things online, but it's totally fine. I seem to get a little moody and my skin breaks out but that's really it. Otherwise just feel normal so not so bad. The chance of multiples esp triplets or more is really very low. I kinda hope I get twins bc then I won't ever have to think about TTC again.

Hey, try not to worry, as pink peony says the chances of multiples is pretty low. I did my first iui this month with clomid, fsh injectables and trigger shot and I have to say it wasn't too bad at all (although I really hammed it up to DH :)).

stirrupqueen, your name is genius. gave me a good laugh.

thank you to you and all who replied. i really appreciate it.

still no af. i'll try another test tomorrow morning.

i have a feeling though, this will be 39-40 day cycle.

af arrived this eve. that means tomorrow is officially day 1.
so, i'll be starting clomid tuesday.

looking at the days ahead, and the timing, it all seems like things
may fall into place.

still scared, but positive signs.

thanks for all of the words of encouragement.

Hey ladies! My husband has sperm morphology issues and we were told we only have a 2% chance trying naturally. So we did IUI #1 and didn't work. Now we are on IUI #2. I am currently on clomid and my only side effect is basically like a normal period. Fatigue and headache! So not too bad, I don't have any fertility issues. But the docs put me on clomid to basically control ovulation and better time the IUI...Good luck ladies!!

thanks for all of the positive replies.
good luck to all!!!

can't imagine doing all this without bnb:hugs:

How is everyone doing? When is everyone testing?!

Afm-I'm currently on clomid 5-9 and i threw up last night! I don't feel like i have the flu, so I'm freaking out that something is very wrong.I called the specialist and left a voice mail.

i just took my second round of clomid this eve. 3 more rounds to go.
i go in on the 16th for my ultrasound.

the only symptom so far today was a mild headache. i really hope that's it.

good luck to all!:hugs:

Hi, I wouldn't worry. I tried clomid/iui both for the first time last month, my dh has awesome sperm but really poor morphology and I ovulate normally. I took 100 mg and produced 4 follicles, and i got a bfn.. But wanted to let you know the side effects weren't bad other than dry cm. . I did experience a few mean mood swings days before my period, but that's normal for me :) I just felt they were super sized swings.

Orchid-My husband has low sperm morphology too!!! I got a bfn my first cycle! I am on my second one too! Just finished my clomid last night and now I have a ton of CM!!! Last month I was so dry this month I have tons!! I also was switched from clomid 3-7 to clomid 5-9!

Amcolecchi- how much clomid are u taking? I am working with two different clinics, I'm a type A personality, and I want a baby really bad. Im curious how your doc diagnoised you with a 2% chance. The clinic I used for my iui/clomid, the RE says morphology means nothing and to try three medicated iui and if it fails to move to icsi. She thinks we have unexplained fertility but our chances are 8% with treatment. The second clinic says the morphology is a problem and they want a detailed sperm analysis done and if the results are poor straight to icsi. So we are taking a break from another treatment and waiting for the results, my dh first sample was great 25% morph, 58% motility, 150 million sperm but the last one was horrible 1% morphology and 60% motility and 160 million. All these results have me scratching my head. Good luck on your iui

I am a Type A personality too!! So this is AWFUL!!!! I am just on 50 mg. I didn't throw up from that, I did have the flu! The 2% chance was if we tried naturally because he did a strict SA test and his morphology was awful...Did your husband have a strict SA or just a normal one? They said with an IUI we have like a 40% chance and IVF 90%..but I have heard numbers all over the board for people!! Good luck hunny! We took a break last month and it was actually really nice!!

Both my DH samples were strict.... Some things really do make you go hmmmm... Good luck with your iui. We are taking a break and going on vacation. When we get back we'll decide the next step. Please do keep me updated.

I just had my first clomid iui on the 7th (100mg) and the side effects weren't too bad....just a couple really moody nights. I'm 35 and from what I've researched Clomid over age 35 doesn't really have too high a multiples rate, it just really increases your odds of getting at least one :) Good Luck to you!
