Yesterday I found a pea sized lump under my armpit close to where the breast starts. Obviously I freaked out and ran off to the doctors to get it checked out. Now my doctor examined it, and said it was most likely a sebaceous cyst and to keep my eye on it. He asked if it was painful which it was yesterday as I was poking it a lot, however today it doesn't hurt.

What interested me was that he said he had seen quite a few women in their 2nd trimester who had these cysts under their arms and wondered if anyone else has/had them.

I have to go back for anti biotics if it gets bigger.

I think that's what I had when I was pregnant w my son. I never went to a doc about it I just assumed it was something pregnancy related. Mine was smaller though maybe 1/2 a pea sized. I ended up getting a few. It did go away I just dont know when.. I know I'm not much help but didn't want to r&r.

I've had one of these last time I thought it was cancer ! Ive lost my mum, gran , and aunt to cancer so naturally I panicked!

It went away on its own eventually and I was never offered anibiotics. It happened in my third trimester .

I had one about two years ago when I wasn't pregnant. My ob actually -GROSS - squeezed it open to drain the fluid out and told me to use hot compresses off and on for a day or so. I did that and put some pressure on it in the shower for a few days to keep it from filling back op and mine hadn't come back since even though he said it might have. He told me if it came back and I was bothered by it they could laser remove it. I freaked when I found mine too lol but it's no big deal, just a nusence.

I don't have one in my armpit but I do get the same recurring two in my bikini line, I've had them for years. The doctor said to leave them unless they get very painful or infected.

I have one on my rib and was put on antibiotics for it in january this year and this is how I actually fell pregnant lol. The cyst is still there. But I now have a baby bump to go with it  xxx

I have recurring cysts in my armpit. Usually I squeeze them (naughty) but did have to have one drained in A&E because it got really big. That's once in 5 years though and I have these regularly. I was told at the hospital to use alternative hair removal to shaving which has helped me quite a bit! Xxxx

This lump sounds different to what some of you are describing. It's quite deep under the skin and I couldn't squeeze it even if I wanted to. Hmmm...maybe dr has got this wrong?

It could be a Lipoma, a fatty non-cancerous cyst. They don't go away on their own and they are too deep under the skin to "pop" or drain. My husband gets them and has to get them removed every now and then because they he says they hurt like an annoying bruise. I found one the other day on my pubic bone. I am totally getting it removed after I have this baby. It doesnt hurt, but ew on my pubic region? No thanks.

Mine was deep under the skin, and painful because I'd been prodding it, but the didnt hurt when I'd stopped touching it.

It didnt feel as though it could move around either and it was pretty big, not pea sized.

My doctor checked my breasts as at the same time to make sure there werent any lumps .

She said it might have been caused by shaving my underarms, and told me not to for a couple of weeks. In that time I'd noticed it had started to get smaller.

I had an epidermoid cyst last year. It looked like a black head, but was actually a keratin plug that blocked the pore and resulted in inflammation. I had to have antibiotics, but what really helped was an antibiotic cream which softened the plug and it drained by itself.

I have one on my freakin forehead! It's half the size of a US dime. I had it removed once and it came back after a few months! Now it's huge and embarrassing and I wish I could have it gone!
