septembryos baby area (09 babies)

talking about bodily functionality. what if u have to go for a #1 or worse a #2??!!
or does the urge go away as the baby s coming out?
have u guys every heard anything about this??

it can happen but you wont know about it!!!!!!!

Ladies who are first timers, sorry but you know what it was like when you had no conception and your body had a teeny uterus full o' crap to emit? Well think how big your uterus is with baba? Yeah? And the lining you don't need anymore?? Yeah??? ALL gotta go. Just so you know, be prepared. Enjoy the period free days. Sorry if TMI but I would be remiss not telling you.
Oh and you WILL feel like you are gonna poo when pushing. And you might, but it is ok, I promise.

If you knew all this before you got pregnant the first time no one would have babies but as soon as you've gone through it once you realise its not that bad for what you get at the end. I'm on number three and i have a friend who is on number seven she loves being pregnant i think she might be slightly addicted though :)

oh my god how embarrassing if it happens!!!!!

i had a miscarriage in early july and i was bleeding for so long after it really really sux.
how long does it usually last after u give birth?

By the time it comes to having baby you would be prepared to walk over hot coals just to have bubs in your arms just remember the pain is only temporary where as you will be a mummy forever afterwards it is SO worth it.

This is what I'm focusing on. It's going to hurt, it's going to be a bit gruesome, but our bodies were designed to do it and none of the pain or gross stuff lasts forever!

As soon as you step into the labour ward dignity goes straight out of the window people have been known to do a number 2 but so what the midwives have seen it all before and worse. With my first child i had a midwife and a student doctor who as my placenta came out was instructed to catch it in a kidney dish he missed and it fell on the floor promptly followed by him as he passed out the midwife was literally in histerics laughing. I felt quite bad for the poor bloke but it was the highlight of my labour obviously second to finally getting to hold my son.

Sorry if the above post was a bit too much info :)

hahaha that s hilarious, i would ve laughed too and then thanked the student for taking my mind off the pain.
hey does anybody here have an issue with when the baby comes out and there s blood all over and they hand the baby to u with the blood or blue stuff i dont know what it s called.

am gonna ask them to wipe everything off because the sight of blood makes me faint!!

You know what, this will probably be the one time when it won't bother you - the whole process of going through labour and the excitement of seeing your child should mean that you don't even think about fainting :)

Aww sorry to hear that :hugs:

It varies but it can be for a good few weeks, tisn't the most pleasant like, but small price to pay!!

I think I read someone else say they were going to ask for the baby to be wiped before getting it on another thread, so I think it's something they're used to.
love the catching the placenta story!
one of the reasons I don't think I want a water birth is someone told me they pooed in the pool!!!! and then my friend who is a doc said she sees people giving birth around floating poos all the time!
but then again, I'm sure it's worse in the bed
oh goodness me, we really will have no dignity at all - maybe I don't want my hubby there after all, he's not good with bodily functions and very shy about all that sort of stuff!!!!
As for this blooming 6 week period I've been hearing about, WTF???? I've been so happy being period free, I KNEW there was a catch!!!!!!

I only bled for about 10 days after both my children only heavily for the first 5 i think it is probably different for everyone. i had a lot more bleeding over a longer time after my 3 miscarriages.

Another personal favourite is the boobs full o'milk squirting it right out spontaneously whilst adjusting to supply and demand - mini fountains in the bath fun anyone???

This is good stuff, keep it coming misswren!! I'm trying to work on the theory that I should just face all the yucky stuff now, get used to it mentally, and then by the time I'm ready to give birth I'll be much calmer..... what d'ya think that chances are of this working???

I was having dinner at a friends house the other day, and he was saying when his sister had her baby, she answered the door and her boobs were spurting and she had massive wet patches on her t-shirt and was really upset. He said he didn't know where to look - and he's gay!"!!!!

I always seemed to have my milkers out when my gay friends called over too....

Whatever happens, you are literally giving life here so everything else is soo insignificant (but whilst we are at it, my swollen ankles stayed swollen for a week too, day 3 post birth is the most emotionally traumatic whilst hormones whoosh and even the kettle boiling too quick made me bawl, err and first bath after first baba - I wondered why blancmange was floating in the tub then realised twas my belly.....)

the milk thing is true sadly.

again after my miscarriage, my boobs started leaking and i had no idea what it was, i d be sitting and my top had 2 wet spots on the boob area, sooooooo embarrasing. so i d put cotton on top of the nipple.

but pooping during delivery, my god, my husband and mom will be at delivery, thank god they don t get disgusted. but i ll be embarassed in fron of the strangers who ll be there like the midwife
