septembryos baby area (09 babies)

I just found a really good video of how they do epidurals here it is do not watch if you don't like needles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16T...7790B997&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=27

Shadowrat, first I have to say I respect opinions you've had on other threads, but I'm afriad I don't think you were apologising, coming on here and reiterating that you don't like our name, to me, is offensive. We all knew you didn't like it already and it's fine to have different opinions, but I do think you could have let it be - I can't see how writing here that you don't like our name is an apology, so I'm sorry, I think your post is quite inappropriate, esp when you know we're already upset about it. I wouldn't dream of being nasty about anyone's group, either here or in their own group, so can we please leave it at that? And keep our thread the haven of positive support and loveliness that it normally is!

totally agree with you hun shadowrat i feel there was no need for you to come and post and yet again comment on our name. you dont like it fair enough we do and it has upset some of ladies that you called our name yuck.

badunkadunk- congrats on your lil girl!!! :wohoo: how lovely to have one of each :D

rainbopwincess- good luck today hunni hope you get to find out the sex.

firegal- thats fab you get offered seats already. so far i havent had that problem since i usually have a pushchair with me but when its packed and have to stand up god its a killer on my legs!

bless you worrying about your job am sure all women feel like that when it comes to maternity leave. am sure when you go back to work your job will still be waiting for you and your replacement wont be anywhere near as good as what you are :D

not much to say from me today oh i am boring! lol not long been up was sat in bed eating choccy with the girls lol.

ooo 2 days to go til my free scan :wohoo: can't wait! x

I am totally traumatised after seeing that video - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, that looks like they are torturing that poor woman, no WAY i want one now.
Can I just pass out and wake up to a baby please????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahah don t u just wish that was possible??!!

it looks scary but no way i can go without it. i usually can t bare pain to begin with let alone while delivering a baby.
my doc said that they don t give u epidural until u really start hurting because they don t wanna numb u all together

lmao 10th sept!!!!! i dont think i could ever have one either as i am terrified of needles at the best of times! god help me if i ever need an emergancy c-section as i know i'd rather have one then have a general as would want to see my baby being born and not be asleep but then i dont think i could ever go through an epidural. x

I just checked out august mummies siggys, I assume they were spyin on us to have nicked our idea!

for those of you that havent seen it....

Not slating it before one of them comes and jumps on me and whoops me butt just makin a point, it looks ok!!
I mean they do say copying/pinchin someones idea is the sincerist form of flattery!!!!

I had an epidural with my son and they made me sit up when they did it they put it in between contractions and you have to be totally still. It did hurt but by that time i was so gratefull not to be in anymore pain after nearly 18 hours i didn't care. They also put it in as they thought i might have to have an emergency c-section which thankfully i didn't.

I am full of anecdotes today - when I had an epidural with baba #1 the student nurse proceeded to tell me her mate was paralysed from one and then the anaesthatist basically watched the footy on TV whilst administering and said "oops, not not quite where we want it" and redid it - I was too high on gas and air to comment.....hahaha my first labour and birth was stoopid.

Ooooooh and I just remembered that I forgot to say - would a rubber ring help with the achey tush??

re giving birth.....

rember every contraction brings you closer to meeting your baby for the first time ever!

I'm not good with pain at all, I'm a total wuss, so I opted to give birth where I can have an epidural. But looking at that and hearinf horror stories, I don't know if I want one. Everything else seems bad too though, why can't there be a more effective pain relief, which you can just pop as a pill and which doesn't make you drowsy???!!!!?????
I hate even having that needle thing in my hand, I find it sooo painful - last time I was in hosp, I refused it because it was hurting so much.
I'm SUCH a wuss :-(

oh and casablanca! wow!

i don t know... i hate needles but i wouldn t do it without epidural.
my friend said for her second baby she tried to do the tough thing and go without and midway she was screaming at them to give her some epidural.
and honestly, i wanna remember delivery as a pleasant moment not one where am screaming in pain and yelling at people because am hurting so much.

By the time it comes to having baby you would be prepared to walk over hot coals just to have bubs in your arms just remember the pain is only temporary where as you will be a mummy forever afterwards it is SO worth it.

Yeah, i think their signatures are really pretty - and quite a few other months have them - the july jelly babies, the october halloween ones, it's nice I think everyone has one and that theirs is similar to ours, well, that's lovely that ours is so good they want a piece of it!!!!!!
STILL don't think that I'll be on board with contractions stardust, why do we have to go thorugh all that pain????!!!!!!!!!??????????????
I hope mine just slips out and I don't have time to worry about pain - am i kidding myself??!!

Miss Wren, that sounds like a nightmare, but re your earlier post, you are a NAUGHTY lady!!!!!! swinging party indeed, we're supposed to be serene innocent pregnant ladies!!
(why isn't there a halo smiley???!!!)

with my last I got by on gas and air and slept through most of it!! so it can be done, all you will find on net is horror stories, you will read nice ones but coz horror sticks in your mind mre the good ones vanish, I remeber every step of my first labour and am willing to share my story if it helps reassure anyone?

hear hear!!! It is so true that bit about forgetting the pain, course then you have the most irritating load of bodily functionality to contend with ......too late now though you're all on board......paper knickers rule though.

Lmao i forgot all about the joys of paper knickers that really made me smile

why does no one tell you this BEFORE you get pregnant :-(
i'm stressed, need to have a cup of chamomile tea - good job I'm working from home today, people at work are used to me being a bit of a hard nut and would be shocked to see me welling up and being a wuss!!!!!

talking about bodily functionality. what if u have to go for a #1 or worse a #2??!!
or does the urge go away as the baby s coming out?
have u guys every heard anything about this??

Oh my first labour was horrendous but if you are gonna get knocked up over the millennium, you gotta expect backlog....but I blame part of it on me not being more intuitive and asserting my intuition, second time was SO much better as i had faith in by body and my midwife did too - I wouldn't put up with what I did 1st time "Don't make a noise when you push, you're wasting energy" Biatch.
