blake looks soooooo small in his highchair, he is no-where near the tray either. he seems happy sat in it. going to get 1 of the inserts to rase him up etc.

YAY we did it!!!! We went to our first "group" thing today and Izzy was great!!!!
We went to rhyme time at the library, it was fantastic, she looked constantly at the other babies, smiled when her favourite songs were sung, and did not want to face me at all!!!!! yay!!!!

Thanks Amy about the pasta thing, why is that? Is it because of allergies? Some of the jars that are 4+ have pasta in them, think i have one in the cupboard! oops!!! its a minefield this weaning thing! thank u

good to hear everyone is doin good ...my HV suggested a weaning meeting next week...i haven't even thought about weaning yet... but!!.... jack is now drinking 8oz around every 2 hours so maybe start him on food soon... i'm scared as i haven't got a CULE about weaning lol...so off i go to do some reading...

on the other hand jack has actually moved UP a centile and weighs 18lb 13oz...aww this is all so confusing...

and before i go HUGHE MASSIVE congrats babytots!!!!!

n my lil' sis came home with a pearler today...she thinks she might be pregnant!....we shall see lol jack may have a cus this time next year hehe

not sure on the pasta thing. it was on the leaflet the HV game me under foods they are not allowed until 8months. i just laughed, HV asked what was funny so i told her - blake had helped himself to pasta tubes from my spag bol (less messy with 7 and 4yr old) and sucked them to bits. she didnt say anything but not to gove him it "on purpose".

bt as you say probably allergy related.

So Joe's been ill for the past few days . Isn't drinking all his milk (having 5 or 6oz rather than 8) and having diarorria during or after each feed (sorry TMI!). Had to call NHS direct last night who said to keep a close eye on him so we woke up at 2am & 5am to check on him - he was asleep both times !!

Today he's had 1 6oz bottle and 1 8oz bottle and 1 poo, so we're gonna see how is goes on the next 2 feeds. Fingers crossed he's over the worst now, poor little man

hi,

had blake down docs today as he been coughing and bringing up phelgm for 2 days - no other sign of being ill. the nurse assessed him and then went and got the doc (she training to be nurse practicianor). the doc agreed with her that he has an upper respitory infection but they cant give him anti-biotics as he under 6months! (the word bo****ks comes to mind!). told me to go back if he gets worse.

since getting home he has been majorily sick twice - to the extent that i have had to change him, clean floor and changing mat! not good. yes most was phelgmy (better out than in) but mixed with milk was horrid!!!


PLUS - middle son had a chest infection last week that set his asthma off so had go see asthma nurse today. she has altered his inhalers - now on purple (same as i am on!) plus his blue 1 plus steorids at night. He then got a UTI on tues this week and they gave him anti-biotics, for the doctor to have written a prescription out for today as those he was given tues are NOT suitable for asthmatics! explains why he has been complaining about his chest!

the school have gone mad and threatened me with educational welfare as his attendance has dropped below 70%. he had 3 weeks off when he had a lump removed from his neck, he has had sickness and diareaha (sp) of which the school wont allow them back until been clear 24hrs. and he has had chest infections and asthma attacks, of which the school have sent him home for as they cant keep an eye on him if his asthma gets worse!!! i really want to scream! BUT on a good note the docs have said if the school kick off too much get them to contact the doc who will issue a med cert at the schools expense. LOL!

Its a total nightmare here i tell you! (good job eldest is ok!)

Just popping on quickly to say thanks for your messages. Have joined Alices mad mummies group on fb so shall keep you all upated via there and of course post scan piccys if and when I get some. I will be having 5 scans between now and 14 weeks so they best bloody do lol. x
