septembryos baby area (09 babies)

Hi ladies!

FINALLY getting a chance to drop in here, although I don't think I'll be able to catch up with all the posts... will try though :)

Finn is just totally gorgeous but he's running us ragged at the moment! He seems to be getting more and more colicky by the day, and spends lots of time crying uncontrollably. Infacol doesn't really seem to work... not much does... we just have to be patient and try to comfort him as much as we can. Last night he was up til 1am and then I had to get up again at 6.30 (although he woke me at 6.20 wanting to feed anyway) so that we could make it to our 9am appointment to get his name registered.... tired!!! Oh well, it's nice to have got his birth certificate sorted at least :)

Right, I'm off to see how many posts I can read through before he wakes up in an attempt to catch up on all of your news!

Hi Sb :flower:

FG - really sorry about Finns coliky belly :hugs::hugs::hugs: it's really distressing when they cry and you know that there is just nothing that you can to......so sending lots of hugs your way.

Apparently there is something you can get from the Dr that helps... Tsia posted some info on it. :flower:

Hey all!
Ta for the tip Diz :)

Sorry to hear about wee Alex's op and mom2pne's flu and Finn's colic and Rachy's aches and babs' cold and Jacks teeth :( :hugs: to you all (and anyone I accidentally missed)

Sorry my q was a tricksy one Marg...I wonder if the mc and loss ladies check out ask a mum? They might have qs? May be worth giving em a knock?

I really wanted Paloma's birth cert to have her dna donor on it as I will be truthful with her, her big sisters know who he is after all, but he is refusing and saying I only want it for my benefit and he won't believe I want nothing more!! How unnecessary!!!

omg is that the septembryos finished popping now?

hi all,

blake is still the same length as he was 3weeks ago, his head was bigger and he weighed more but as said we not sure where! he is sooooo funny when he sneezes - we get 3 or 4 sneezes and then a "arrrragh" not a scary 1 but a really cute 1.

Congratulations first alien on the birth of Finley. Bet you're glad to finally have him in your arms. xxx

Can't believe Amber is a week old today and this is the first time i've managed to get a bloomin sentence on here. How is everyone and where do we go now???

Ah Amy, I love their little sneezes!! Joe always does 2 in a row, not sure why 2 but it's too cute :)

I don't think they've ever measured Joe's length....He's only 8lb 13 and already filling his newborn sleepsuits so I think he's getting longer by the day!

Hey peakydon!! Congratulations on the birth of Amber :)

There is a september 09 babies group in the group section x

Kathryn :hugs: sorry, i don't know what to suggest...... is he coming down with some thing...?

Well i really want to tone up a bit but i can't be assed to do sit ups........ I've lost most of the baby weight (didn't put much on) but my belly is a little gross ... kind of flabby.... and its annoying as hell as i cant fit into half of my jeans because of it. I'm also self conscious about wearing most of my tops to because their quite tight fitting and you can see the rolls of flabby skin under them. ugggh!!!

I don't know.. he could be. I finished the antibiotics today.. so fingers crossed that will help!!

I am so jealous of the loss of baby weight! Mine is latching on as much as the baby did!!

Rachy - Hope your aches and pains dissapear soon :hugs:
Marg - Fingers crossed that it will help Jacks teeth! Hope you are well!
FG - :hugs: for the colicy belly
Sandi - Love and hugs for Alex's op - does this mean she gets to spend more time with the sexy nurse????

:hi: to anyone else!

I need to go and change a nappy - fingers crossed it's a simple on.. the one this morning I put the new one on and he pooed... yesterday we went through 4 in an hour!! His poor little belly!!

Hi everyone,

although Mia is smetimes sick with gripe water it seems to have helped and shes bringing up the wind so i used it once or twice a day.

Marg, how old is little Jack?

Does anyone use baby sleeping bags? how are you finding them?

xxx

Silas - Glad the gripe water seems to be helping. Joe's been having it too for the past few days and it helps with burps, but sometimes he brings up some milk with the burp too...Not loads (and not projectile sick or with every feed) but abit worrying... I think he may just be excess that he's taken from the bottle???

Hi Kathryn :hi: How's everything going with little Isaac???

x

does anyone elses LO have strong smelly wee? HV told me it nomal.

I LOVE the multi sneezing - Paloma usually does 3 or 4 but did 6 in a row the other day, it was so amusing...

She seems to do loadsa nappy fills too - I am with disposables at the min but was thinking I would branch out to washables in the new year...cop out, I know!

Silas, I use the sleeping bag things as I was given some and they are cool as she can't kick them off like she does with a blanket. I only put her in it at night so I like to think she has the association....

Does anyone elses baba do that sharp intake of breath thing? Like when the doctor regenerates or suchlike?

hi,

i am in urgent need of a swimming costume as my size 14 doesnt fit me (LOL!). we go away next friday (23rd) so internt/catalogue are out due to postal strikes again.

i need a 16, with built in cups to support my 38D's! prefer plain black/brown/blue/purple colours not patterns. anyone know of any shops that still have them in as they end to be classed as summer wear.

thanks ladies. hopefully some1 will have some ideas. going to post in general chat as well.

 Hi Vicks! Isaac is doing well thank you! Putting on lots of weight - he is almost out of newborn - but only because we use reusables and they make his poor little bottom huge (I put a disposible on him yesterday as he pooed his way through the 2 spare ones I had so moved onto the disposible spares - and his trousers fell off!!) How are things with Joe? Is his wind any better?

Silas - Apparently they can be sick because they have trapped wind and then food on top.. at least that is what they were saying at the breast feeding group I go to!

Hi Ladies :howdy:

M.wren - sorry that the DNA donor does not want to be put on
Paloma's birth certificate. Do you think he'll change his mind or does he seem pretty adamant...? I've got a stash of re-usables that i'm going to start using at some point  ... I did try him with them when he was 3 weeks old but he was miserable! Then someone told me it was best not to use them on a newborn ... something to do with wee not being absorbed as quickly and baby getting cold. So i'm not too sure when to put him in them. I've had to sell on my newborn stash of nappies and he's not been in 90% of them!!!

Amy - i love Noahs sneezes too. He does the same thing, a couple of sneezes followed by a cooing aghhhhh sound - so cute!!!!!! I'm not to sure where you can get a cozie from.... maybe a buy it now on e-bay...? Noahs wee can smell quite strong at times too.

Silas - i'm pleased the gripe water is helping Mia. Do you use infacol too... ? I did use a sleep bag for a few days but i went back to swaddling Noah as he would wake him self up with involuntary arm movements.

Hi Kathryn - Noahs pretty much out of his newborn stuff and wearing his 0-3 months cloths now....i can't believe how quick they grow... I popped into work today with Noah and every one was going on at how small he was, but to me he seems massive...well compared to what he was like when i gave birth to him!

Hi Vicks- i'm pleased that the gripe water is helping Joe... its horrible when they are in pain with trapped wind

Noah hasn't been settling very well in his carry cot in the day. He used to be great (well the past two weeks) but these last few days he's not wanted to be in it, needs to be pretty much 100% asleep before you put him down, and then only sleeps for 20 mins at a time before waking up (instead of a good solid hour/hour and a half. He won't self settle in it when he does wake ..in fact he only settles when i pick him up, then we go through the whole cycle again...... i wonder why that is...?

hi ladies!
sorry to hear of all the tummy troubles going on. i have to say the gabriel has no problem what so ever in the passing gas dept....we can hear him across the house!
i hope all the lil buggars get past it soon.

marg: cant believe jack is getting teeth! hope he perks up soon for you!

diz - i doubt it would be here in time with postal strikes. i've not had any post since last friday, and i spoke to my mate yesterday who a postie and theyy have 3more planned days this week/next and a backlog already.

some1 n general said try peacocks, and my nan said sports shop - but they dont have fitting rooms.

Hello Ladies, Sorry to gatecrash but Siyren asked me to do a wee update.

As you know Lyssa was born safe and well nearly 2wks ago, you may remember that while she was pregnant Siyren was told that Lyssa had a heart defect and that she would require surgery.

Well today Lyssa had the cardioligist who was really pleased with what he saw, if Lyssa continues to do as well as what she is, she wont be getting an op. He was takenaback at how well Lyssa has done.

Have posted this in third as well

Siyren cant wait to get back online and update you all herself xx
