Severe tooth pain, help!

My cheek bone/jaw just over a tooth my ex husband broke is hurting so bad I'm in tears and sick to my stomach. No dentist is open right now and I'm in so much pain. Should I go to er or wait and try to get a dentist appointment asap?

I would go to the ER, they can prescribe you antibiotics. They can also prescribe you Tylenol 3, which is a lot stronger than what you can buy over the counter. If you can't make it to the ER right away you can try heating packs for the pain coupled with Motrin. I would also Schedule a dentist appointment. You might even need to see an oral surgeon - if the tooth is broken the nerves might be exposed, which will need a root canal if it's infected. I really hope you get some relief soon, broken teeth are no fun. I've experienced it from cavity fillings done when I was little shattering my teeth.
