Sex during this pregnancy?.....Tmi!

hi ladies

i mmc in june last year at 14+6 and it took me a long time to get myself back to a new me. sex was never an issue in my last pregnancy, but in this one... dear me it is!! i am frightened. and i'm not afraid to say it even now at 20 weeks i'm petrified. for the 1st 16 weeks we were told by my consultant no sex. then they lifted the ban at 16 weeks, we've had sex once since then and even that time i didn't let him, you know, inside there. sorry tmi!!!

anyway last night he wanted sex and i did too, its not that i dont want it!! I'm horny!! i'm just scared that its gonna make me bleed or something! and i know its normal to have sex, blah blah but nothing seems to get through to me! anyway i stopped him half way through last night because i wasn't enjoying it, i was lay there getting more and more worried

as you can imagine, in the heat of passion to be thrown off me didn't impress him much and he went on to tell me i'm a freak and everythings fine and i need to get over it. it really upset me and i stayed up crying for about an hour. he apologised this morning but even so, its made me feel shit!

Bless you, I'm sorry you're so scared. I would be too (I am so far!). DH overreacted by calling you a freak in the heat of the moment and I think he's realised that by apologising, but that doesn't take away the hurt. He's probably upset that he doesn't know how to comfort you (and being a bloke he's paranoid it'll always be like this).

I don't know what to suggest but want to send much love xx

Aw hun, I know what you mean, I was the same and still am at 37 weeks!! OH has just HAD to get use to it, he does get annoyed with me too but they don't realise how scary it is for us. I keep telling mine it won't last forever but right now I just need a break and I have also told him thats what he was given hands for (in a hormonol moment - oops!!)

its understandable to be worried and everytime we have sex I am worried that its going to cause bleeding or something - tbh we haven't actually had sex that much, we have generally stuck to other things

I'm scared to have sex too! It seemed like would always bring on AF when it was taking awhile to come (anovulatory cycles), and so I'm afraid it will do the same even though I'm pregnant. I feel a little irrational, but I'm afraid of doing anything to hurt this baby.

to be honest I don't blame you I personally am a bit wary before the 12 week mark; it does seem that it sets off spotting for me (probably due to an ectropion or whatever its called but still you can never quite tell)....

Don't worry hun, plenty of us do it!
If I'm honest Since I got pregnant me and OH have only done it once! I feel awful for it but he understands. It's not just worry for me it hurts too.
Why not try other things... stuff that would normally lead to sex! That way you're both happy and not worried
