Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Ah you would have been fine! He happily slept in my lap whilst his
Mummy finished her lunch!

Local coffee sounds good to me... ;)

I met my mum after i left Sheffield and was treated to some maternity wear bargains and some bits for baby. It's nice working short weeks!

Btw u should give that exercise class a go that I go to-it's not really much exercise but it's good for picking up some pregnancy/new baby tips as the last half hour is a talk from the midwife

Kathryn,

I desperately need some new clothes, but everything I see looks very "maternity" guess I'm still in denial. Where did you get your stuff from?

I usually work from home 1 or 2 days a week, usually Monday and then see when I can squeeze another in, so if your off Mondays, at a loose end and have your car it would be lovely to catch up.

I will dig out your email about it and give her a shout, the only reason why I didn't before was due to my 2 weeks leave an not knowing where I would be on the Tuesdays.

So excited for you with your house move, will be perfect having a new house with a new baby etc!

On my random wandering round the boards I have recruited another lady to our thread - 1stTimeMum33.

So if your watching & waiting to join - Welcome! :-D

I got a couple of things from
H&M and also new look and next has some good stuff. They are good because they're not as expensive as places like mamas n papas or mothercare. Maternity clothes are so
much more comfy too! I feel better in them cos I look pregnant in them rather than chubby!
I'll text u my mobile number as I've got your number from here, and u can drop me a text when you're next around on a Monday! I've always got the car so it's not a problem. :)
If u fancy that class I'll give u a lift if u want!

Fingers crossed re house, we sold once before n it fell through as the buyer realised they couldn't afford it... At least this time we know they can afford it so I'm keeping everything crossed!

Lovely to meet you ladies (and gentleman!) Wish I'd had time for a baby cuddle but next time I should be able to be more leisurely! Sorry I had to run off to work!

Is it the keeps mum fit one you go to Kathryn? I looked at that early on and wish I'd got around to going. I've been doing pregnancy yoga and have found the chats after useful, think I may go to one of the aquanatal classes when I finish work for a bit of a splash around :) The one run by the midwife who takes the antenatal classes at Jessops apparently you can take the baby to when it comes and they look after them by the poolside for you while you do the class and have a shower!

Just thought I would pop in and say 'Hi'. It would be lovely to have to local mums and mums to be to chat to.

That's the class yes! I was recommended it by my hubs friends wife.
I'm also starting yoga in September. Which one r u going to-is it at hackenthorpe?
You'll have to let me know where u do aquanatal too as I've fancied giving that a go!

Yes, it's the NCT one there, is that the one you're going to? It's on a break for a couple of weeks but I'm hoping to make it back to at least the first one in September!

I think it's the one on Friday lunchtime at King Edwards (near Jessops) that lets you come post baby - will ask her on Tuesday at the class! I know there is a Thursday evening one at Hillsborough that's supposed to be good but I've never had the energy after work to make it there!

Welcome Nat!

Yes that's the one I'm starting on 5th September! Would have gone earlier but missed out due to the august break. Perhaps I will see u there then!

Small world ;)

Ohh, I was looking at the KE one, they make the water warmer there!!! My maternity swimsuit arrived the other day, it looks huge but unfortunately fit :-( I am a member of Green's in town, but it is always so cold and was looking at these classes thinking it would be fun and a nice way to meet people. If you end up doing the KE one let me know as I'm sure I can negotiate a long lunch on Friday's if its for a "maternity class" lol!

Lunch sounds good. Are there any other babies coming or will Ethan be the only one? I'm just curious :) Will be nice to meet you all.

I'll come to the next one if I can and I'll bring Archie!

That would be lovely, little Ethan was the star of the show, being very small cute and well behaved, but a shock to the system to see what happens at the end of the pregnancy! lol

Hello,

I managed to finish my migration on Sat which meant only 1 checkpoint meeting on Sunday and the rest of the day was mine :-D In other good news my mosses basket came into stock so we went to the retail park to pick it up and assembled it last night. The nursery now has 1 thing in it....at last.

The cot arrived on Sat but had a big scratch on it so we're sending it back :-)

How was the coast Kathryn, was so jealous when I got your test and I was sitting down to a long days work lol!

Ooo how exciting! We got our moses basket stand at the weekend (Mum treat) but it's staying at their house until closer to the time..
Shame about the cot - where was it from? Least u have plenty of time to get it sorted before baby makes an appearance :)

Coast was lovely - staying in a great hotel in Scarborough on Saturday night and then drove back via Filey, Flamborough Head and Brid (for fish and chip stop!).

Enjoying my day off today - went for a swim this morning and am meeting a friend for lunch... just a shame I have to go back to work tomorrow... think I've kind of checked out mentally already!

Glad your migration went well - you should plan something nice for this weekend to make up for it all!

xx

I'm sorry but you can only come if you promise to tell us how easy having a baby is  emz was very clear on how wonderful it all is :winkwink:

Ohh, we're off to the coast at the weekend too - got a wedding to go to and going to combine it with a waddle on the beach - can't wait!

Think I may give aquanatal a go this Friday, unless later in the week I feel that's a bit ambitious for my second day off work! Who am I kidding? I am itching to clean the house - flipping hormones!
