I don't know that it's luck as I made an active choice to move here. It's 4 hours away from my family and 3.5 hours away from my husband's family. What is lucky is that I've been able to find stable employment! I chose to move here before I had a job lined up, and there are very few job opportunities here. I had planned to work as a substitute teacher when I moved. Luckily I got a job as a virtual special education teacher about a week before I moved. I did that for three years before getting a job at a local educational organization and now work as an autism consultant for the local school districts. And if you think those pictures look nice, check out this one of the same beach:

Paige had a brilliant dance comp yesterday. Was 2nd out of 26 dancers for her fast solo, 3rd for slow and 4th in her pairs dance. I was bursting with pride watching her smash it on the dance floor! I am also proud of myself for managing to get her hair looking jist the way we wanted. Took forever but got there in the end!

That's gorgeous sarah. I've always lived by the beach and close to the countryside. My husband lived hours away from his nearest beach. I am amazed that not everyone has access to a local beach. This is our beach 5 minutes down the road

Nice. It looks like you've got some amazing beaches by you too. As for the free comment, it depends on where you are. I know that in New Jersey (visited last summer), you have to PAY to go to the beach! And not only that, but they're super crowded and artificial (the sand is imported).

Wow really? I have never heard of anyone having to pay to go onto a beach although if it's artificial I guess it needs a lot of looking after.

It's not usually free when I go either I always get conned into buying Thomas an ice cream

lo and her dad, made a pirate ship.

(the old 4 wheel balance bike is a wind power generator with the garden hose being the power cables)
btw saw this a few pages earlier: mine was rf too until about 4 years old when we gave the seat to friends in South africa( car seats cost the same as here which is for the average south african quite expensive) and rf are quite hard to find too) she was outgrowing it anyway ,ours was til 25 kg but she was outgrowing it by height) (so now she s in a seat that last till 36 kg normal harness free booster) she however still asks sometimes about her old rf seat she grew quite attached to that one. (shes 19 kg and 111cm btw so she would have outgrown a 9-18kg seat at the same time)

Ordered two hairpieces for Paige for her dancing. Ella was there when I opened them so of course she had to have a go! She LOVED it and wishes she could have long hair, bless her!
