hi i am 19wks pregnant and not having a fantastic time i am feeling lazy and can hardly get out of bed in the morning let alone go to work i wish i could take leave now but due to major financial issues i can not afford to. i feel bad because i have been sick and only worked like 3days this week and me and my OH are struggling so much:cry:

I am 31 weeks and I am still working unfortunately.
If it were up to me, I'd have taken off from about 20 weeks on, but there are too many bills to pay.

totally agree...I am 20 weeks and working up to 36 and seems so far away though I just take it a day at a time now. Try not to think of how long it is, give yourself small treats now and again for lunch and meet friends for coffee at lunch, it makes a difference...I found a cream egg in the car on the way to work this morning and it made my day :)

Yesterday I found out i would have to start my maternity in 8 weeks time due to office closure and being relocated too far away. I was worried about our financial situation but to be honest were going to have to survive on SMP sooner or later anyway, might as well bring it forward the extra 6 weeks then i intended rather then stress myself travelling. Was a bit upset about it at first but trying to look at it positively now, and looking forward to some me time.

Hope you feel better soon x

i'm the same right now :( I only started a new jobi n October so i dont get any company benefits at all for maternity pay. So i've decided i'll be taking my leave from 29 weeks - i've got nothing to lose and i dont intend to go back to where i'm working now when my leave ends. Its not that we dont need the money, but for me the less stress from work the better. Plus i also travel 2 and a half hours a day with a 9 hour shift on top of that.

Sending you some hugs

I am the same I hate work cant get up in the mornings boss is stressing me out I got 5 weeks left and that seems tooooooo long.

I feel the same now. Im 24 weeks and the walk to and from work is killing me. Theres a 15 minute walk uphill on the way to work, and downhill on the way back and by the time I get to work Im just achey and tired. I wish I could take time off now, but as someone else said, theres too many bills to pay.

Could you not do any work from home, or reshuffle your hours to make it a bit easier maybe?

Hope you feel better soon

:hugs: To all you working girls out there :hugs:

I work a desk job (boring....). It is really hard to stay awake after lunch, I just want to lay my head on my desk and go to sleep. Also, there are so many annoying people I work with, they are driving me nuts. I can't wait to be on maternity leave so I don't have to put up with them for awhile. Hang in there girl. :hugs:

I'm considering taking my maternity leave now too but not sure if i'm allowed :S
I'm not wanting to go back to work there so it won't effect the date I go back...just don't wanna lose out on any SMP.

i feel same as well. On Sundays im off normally, and i just always pray for sunday to come soon... Its hard to cope at work and i don`t feel motivated at all. i feel lazy to wake up and want to sleep all day...

I am with you girls. I'm still working, and its such a pain. Not being able to sleep all night due to back and pelvis hurting, then having to wake up early, come in, sit, and have my back hurt all day from that it driving me nuts:cry:

I don't even know when I plan on taking maternity leave, and wether or not I will be coming back:dohh:

im planning on taking my maternity leave around mid may which would make me 36-37 weeks. im not planning on going back afterwards going to have all SMP then leave xxx finding job hard as working in nursery

Im taking mine from 3 weeks before the baby is due for 24 weeks I think. I go back in mid november.

After today, I dont feel like going back at all. Proper dreading tomorrow :(:(:(

Have any of you got your MATB form yet, I was hoping to get mine at 6 months but I'm now nearly seven :S

It's hard forcing myself to come everyday but like the rest of you, i can't afford to be off. It's so tiring being pregnant!
I have about 11 weeks of work left. I plan to leave when i'm 35ish weeks pregnant and i have 2 weeks holiday booked in at work. Which leaves a total working period of about 11 weeks. It sounds so short. I can't wait to be off!
