Hi,

I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea for 3wks now, gradually increasing it each week. In the last couple of weeks though I've felt a bit lightheaded. It happened again yesterday & this morning, and I've just realised that both times it was after I'd just drunk a cup of RLT.

Anyone else had this?

No sorry, not that I have noticed after I have drank the tea. But I do keep getting light headed - I figure its just the heat & the fact I am still working & have 2 other children under 4yrs. I have just drank a cup, so I will pay more attention and let you know if it happens.

I've googled it & have seen a few websites that say it can lower yr blood sugar level & therefore make you feel lightheaded. I've just had a choc bar to bring the blood sugar levels back up (any excuse!) & feel fine now so I think it is the RLT. I'm at m/w this afternoon so will ask her.

I have the same effect from RLT! xxx

Are you still taking it? It's not a very nice feeling is it!!! I burst into tears yesterday when it happened, damn hormones!!

Ooh thats really interesting - thanks so much for posting about it.

Well I always have a cuppa with food or a snack, so maybe thats why I have not noticed it before. I have just eaten a huge bacon sarnie (no matter how hot it is I am still loving my food). It was de-lic-ious as my dd would say.

Yum, I could just eat a bacon sarnie!!

My OH has just suggested putting a sugar in it which I might try.

I take RLT with sugar, and have not experienced anything in relation to the tea..although I do get light-headed occasionally but its never been in connection with RLT, just usually when i've been more active than usual. so it might be the blood sugar lowering effect causing it. try it with a tad of sugar, its yummy!

Aw thats no good. I know what you mean about the hormones. I went a bit wobbly yesterday and then cried because of it. DH thinks i've gone mad.

Dont know anything about RLT just wanted to say HI :hi:!

it says to take with food it dosnt do it to me but iam having the pills

I still drink it, I find that its not too bad,a nd I know its so full of iron and such xxx

Lol.. go for it. Who needs an excuse to have bacon..??

TBH I find it increadibly sweet as it is, so adding sugar would make me

Its defo worth a try if you can drink it, but methinks I will stick with a choccy bicci with my afternoon cup, that should have the same effect as sugar in it.

That's true, it's a nice excuse for chocolate!!

I also find it incredibly sweet so take it in pill form and luckily haven't had any side effects or none that I'd associate with the RLT and having 3 kiddies while pregnant. I'm starting round 3 of pill taking soon, I didn't take them with my third son and I am not doing that again :dohh:

 hope it eases up for you.
