Signs of 4 month growth spurt/nightmare?

Morning girls, well another rough night, however it was a tad bit better than night before as she slept 8pm-1.45am, then woke at 3.45 and hasnt really slept since, think i was up and down with her 5 times until we eventually got up at 7.30. She was shouting out again, wanting attention, didnt want milk or water, not so much screaming last night which was better but still wriggling and kicking around in her cot! Glad she sleeps in a grobag ir her feet would have been through the bars of the cot! I just couldnt get her settled again so felt like a yo yo up and down for 4 hours! So am sure she is gona be cranky all day again today! I just want my sleepy settled baby back!

I wonder what tonight will bring, we are onto night 4 of this sleep regression now....how much longer will it last?:nope:

After a horrendous afternoon (overtired baby) last night wasn't too bad.
Took about an hour to feed and settle her, as she was so upset! She went to bed at 8pm and only woke 3 times for a feed. Needed resettling once as she had wind.
then woke at 7am for the day :)

We've already had 1 nap of 40 minutes and i've just got her to sleep for the next one, so finger-crossed its a good day!
(I'm hoping that "shake rattle and roll" wore her out this morning!)

well last night was offically horrfic...he decided to go to sleep at 7pm (normally 9) he started to wake up at 11pm so thought i wud try feed him and hope he would sleep the rest of the night...but he wouldnt take any. then he started to stir at 1am but soon drifted back of then was up at 3am for food, then again at 5.30 then was up for the day at 8 and has beenup since!

i have no idea how i did this in the first few weeks.

I'm a little annoyed with OH this morning! I had a chance to catch up on sleep a bit last night as LO slept 4 hours straight for a change between 11:30pm-3:30am but OH decided it would be a great night to get up for the loo twice in that time. Of course I then woke up both times. Not really his fault, but honestly!! So annoying! If that wasn't enough he then comes back in and yawns loudly smacking his lips... is that really necessary! ARGH!

LO then woke up every hour after that, so I'm knackered this morning :(

My OH decided that everytime I'd settled LO, that he'd do a massive snore or turn over and wake her again!

Men are stupid! Ha ha. They seem to be able to fall asleep within an instant whereas it takes me ages to switch off. LO was up lots last night! She's still starving all the time too

Part of me does wonder if LO would sleep better in her room rather than in ours because of OH's fidgeting/snoring/over loud yawning, but I just can't bring myself to do it yet. Just getting her fed by simply sitting up in bed and feeding her is hard enough, let alone traipsing through to another room to do it.

Maybe I should make OH sleep in her room instead??? lol!!

OH keeps saying we should put her in her own room but theres no way I'm getting out of bed and walking across the house 4 times a night! I just roll over, latch her on and go back to sleep

I don't see why hes bothered, he never wakes up!

I wish we could get on with co-sleeping, I'm just far too nervous and don't sleep at all. Also I tend to roll towards OH a little 'cos hes quite a bit heavier than me and that means LO keeps coming unlatched too

By the way - I keep meaning to say, I love Quinn's name! I remember you posting in 2nd tri about it because you were worried about the initials. I liked it then too. I was going to have Violet as one of Francesca's middle names in honour of my Grandma who passed away last year, but my Dad wasn't comfortable with it. (sorry for the OT there!!)

My LO is in her own room and has been for a couple of weeks.....it was great when she was only having 1 feed a night but with her now up most of the night its a nightmare having too trapse backwards n forwards between rooms! Our floorboards are so squeaky between our rooms so its not like i can tippytoe quietly each time! She does have a double bed in her room and the past cple nights after the 4th time of getting up I have ended up just laying on the bed and snoozing. Dont want too start sleeping in there as i dont want too go back over but its tempting right now!

When I was pregnant, I was so adamant that she would never be sleeping in our bed but its the best decision I ever made! I cant believe I used to completely wake up, feed her and then have to wait ages for her to go back to sleep.
We've got a king-size bed with her cot on the side (even though she seems to roll out f it and lie right next to me!) so we have plenty of space.

Aww thankyou :) Everyone has to ask twice when I tell them but I love it :) cant imagine her being anything else now.

After my thread about Quinn not napping more than 30 minutes, she's been asleep on me for nearly 3 hours!

:/

We've had better nap times here, was previously 30/45 mins and is now 1h30 +

Night time is still hit and miss, sometimes waking once, or hourly from 3am.

I hope this is the beginning of the end!

F's last nap was 50 mins too... its been 20-30 recently! Fingers crossed it continues. 3 hours?? That would be lovely!

Now she's fussing about eating, even though her last feed was 3 hours ago. *sigh*

Ohh it would be lovely if my hand wasn't trapped between her and the laptop meaning I have to type with one had!
And I need a weeeeeee!

edit - she better sleep tonight!
She hasn't had a mammoth nap like this for months.

lol!! I know how you feel. Well not at the moment, but its happened in the past.

Its said that better sleep in the day means better night sleep... fingers crossed that's true

Seems to be true so far, as long as she wakes up by 6 otherwise she wont be tired enough at bedtime.

Ooh now shes stirring for a feed, still got her eyes closed like she does at night.
Must be one tired baby.

:/

Well well well... this could be too good to be true!
Started bedtime routine at 7pm and by 7.10 she was in bed asleep!
Changed, boobed and sleeping :)

*please stay asleep!!*
