I've just paid a years membership for the gym tonight and have my induction tomorrow with my (very fit) personal trainer. Thing is, as it was such a spare of the moment thing, I have nothing 'gym' like to wear. What on earth can I wear to the gym? Leggings and a vest? Also, I don't own a pair of trainers  will Toms do?!

ETA: for those of you that do go to the gym, can you reccommend some gym wear?! Thanks.

I would say leggings and a vest are fine, but you do need proper trainers.

Def proper trainers. U can get some at sports direct that aren't too dear

I either go in leggings and a long top (don't like the idea of running and someone watching my arse :haha:) or I go in tracksuit bottoms and a vest.

100% need proper trainers
I wear tracksuit bottoms as leggings and a vest seem to 'fashiony' in my gym and I want to be taken seriously there not just some young girl - I wore leggings, a vest and vans on my induction and my instructor took one look at me and laughed.
These are the tracksuit bottoms I have: https://www.hm.com/gb/product/00908?article=00908-B

My vans gave me a blister just walking in them I'd die if I had to run in them :haha:

You really do need a good pair of trainers that fit you perfectly.
I wear a sports bra, gym leggings (like this https://www.ellos.co.uk/products/wo...leProducts&utm_medium=GMRCH&utm_campaign=FEED)
and then a vest and hoody. I'll take the hoody of after a warm up :)
