Single with 3 kids...and I want more. Crazy?

I'm a single mom to 3 kids under 6. I have my tubes tied but I'm having it reversed next month. I've been talking to my youngest daughter's sperm donor (yes, actually a sperm donor, not just the name I call my ex), and he's willing to donate again. The plan now is to start in October.

I'm 27, my kids and I are okay financially, I still have a lot of my baby stuff from my youngest.

Am I crazy?

I dont think your crazy, I would love 2 more kids but their dad and I are not together so I am mentally preparing myself to stop with 2. As long as you can afford it I don't see a problem xx

Why not, you are young, enjoying having them and not depending on others financially. I'd have loved more but age and lack off access to sperm has got in the way. Can I ask why you had your tubes tied, was it pressure from others? I know this is quite common after 3 or 4. Other people have a way of interfering when they think they wouldn't be able to cope with more so how could anyone else.

My youngest child is not biologically my ex husband's, but is biologically the sperm donor's. My ex husband is listed on her birth certificate though. When she was born he told me to get it done, or he'd divorce me and take my kids away from me. The marriage was very abusive and I was afraid.

It sounds as though you've had a rough time of it, about time you did something that's purely your choice.

No, I think it's wonderful!! Not having a partner shouldn't get in the way of your happiness and if you want another child then go for it
