Single, Working, Renting, Mums?

Is there any single mums on here that are working part-time and rent their accomendation?

I'm going back to work part-time soon, live in privately rented accomendation, do you know how my benefits will change and how much about i will recieve when i start part time work? (16 hours)

I tried working everything out on entitledto.com but in regards to my housing benefit and council tax benefit it said it was worked out taking into account my child and working tax credits, but it didn't mention the money i got from actually working, so don't think it's taken that into account, so think i will be entilted to less than it says. Does anyone know or anyone that can help me out? Just trying to work out my finances!

So basically how much housing benefit and council tax discount will i recieve if i'm a working mum (16 hours £5500 annual) with a housing allowance of £121.00 per week?

I actually rent from the council and I am still entitled to Housing Benefit and your council tax benefit is 25% cos your a single person not anything to do with the kids so thats given to everyone.

I would just contact the council themselves, My council has an option to book an appointment with someone who will help you fill out the forms! x

I think it might be correct that it doesnt take into account your wages? because surely your tax credits are calculated by your wages? so its all relevent? i think?
