I love unusual names and came across this one.

I believe Sixtine is French for Sistine (like the Sistine chapel), but I'm in the UK so I think people are gonna think of the number sixteen!!

I like Sistine, but not as much.

Opinions guys please

I'm in the US - I think the Sistine Chapel is well known all around the world. I have never heard anyone use Sistine as a baby name, but it def works. It's cool & unique without being weird.

Sixtine clearly looks and sounds exactly like the number 16. In my opinion it doesn't work as a name! :nope:

Sylvester Stallone has a daughter called Sistine!! X

I think Sistine is lovely and I prefer it spelled like the Sistine Chapel. I think spelling it this way will cut down on confusion.

I definitely prefer Sistine. It's pretty and unusual. Sixtine made me think of the number if I'm honest x

I'm sorry but I don't think this works as a name...Either way reminds me of the number but even worse is when you switch it to Sistine it seems her nickname would be Sissy? :nope: I'm not a fan, but if you like it then go for it!

Sistine works, although it's something I wouldn't personally choose. Sixtine really doesn't though, it made me think of 16.

I would spell it Sistine. I think it is a very pretty name. As others have said Sixtine looks and sounds like the number to me x

I'd definitely spell it Sistine. I looks and sounds more like a name and seems more feminine to me too.

I don't like Sixtene at all, sounds like 16. Sistene is nice though, but as a PP pointed out there is a good chance it may get shortened to Sissy.

Sistine is a beautiful name, I have never heard it before on a child :)

I don't think Sissy is a bad nickname, it's really cute for a young girl. Sis could work when she's older. Many nicknames are not flattering for a grown woman. My name is Stephanie and my mom is still the only one who calls me Stephie. Most people who want to shorten my name call me Steph.

Sistine is lovely! I don't like the Sixtine spelling, but Sistine is a really great name. I wouldn't be worried about it being shortened to 'Sissy'. Not all names have built in nicknames, nor should they.

Sorry but I think it's a dreadful name. Sissy sister 16.... It sounds like a nun or a number..
