What age did your babies start sleeping through? My girl is 3 months and wakes 1-2 times per night. Most of my friends have formula fed and their babies slept through from about 6 weeks. Also what age did they go in their own room?

Felix seems to have started in the last week or so. Fingers crossed! He has nights where he wakes up, presumably out of habit, but doesn't want to feed. I'm hoping this will lessen soon.
We put him into his own room at 3 months because he woke up every time I rolled over in bed.

Still waiting :haha:. DS is 2 and doesn't sleep through. He isn't breastfed any more though, stopped at 1.
DD wakes hourly, she's 12 weeks.
DS went into his own room at 6.5 months. DD will go in at 6 months or a bit after (depending on how often she's waking at that point)

William was about 16 months before he started doing it consistently. He went into his own room at about 2 months but I went in there with him at first. But even though he always started the night in his room he would end up coming through to us some nights even after he'd night weaned. I don't think bf/ff makes the difference (we tried a bedtime bottle of formula for a few months - wish we'd never bothered) I just think each baby is different.

Em I don't know! We co-sleep and I sleep topless so she helps her self if she wakes. I've been STTN since about 9 months though!

FF babies sttn because their bodies are exhausted from trying to digest a food that is unnatural to them and they need to work a lot harder to get it thought their system.

It's a rumour formula fed babies sleep through quicker. It's a child dependent thing. You'll find mums on here who's bf babies slept through really quickly and mums who's ff babies still wake after the age of 1. They do it when they are ready.

14 months here and still waking at least 3 times a night!

My daughter slept though the night from 2.5 weeks till 3 months (We went to Germany, so a 9 hour flight, time change a lot of other things new). Than she stopped sleeping though the night till 1 year, now she sometimes does, but still 50% of the time doesn't.

Still waiting, we've just gone down to 1-2 wakings per night xx

Also she went in her own room at 4 months x

lauren slept a 7.5 hour stretch one night last week after not napping & a day at the seaside.

she slept through the night after she was born (11pm-7am when i woke her).

she's never slept through any other time & she's almost 19 months old.

bella was ff & slept through from 8 months.

My LO is three months and he's changed from once a night to three or four times again! He's awake demanding a feed before 11pm these days

My first was ebf from 1 week old through 7 months, and we put her into her own room at 3 weeks, and she was sttn a few days after we put her in there (at least 8 hours straight).

My son has always been combi-fed with an afternoon bottle around 2pm each day, and I nurse him the rest of the time. He started sttn from about 2 months (again at least 8 hours straight). We put him into his own room at 3-4 weeks.

I don't think it has anything to do with the digestion of formula/ breastmilk. I just think all babies are different. Or perhaps breastfed babies long for a little bit more of that comfort they get from nursing.

2...years. And still doesn't sleep through every night.

Sophie has never slept longer than 5 hours at one time, and the last time she did was months ago.

Babe is 5 months now and we moved her to crib in her own room at 2 months. She's breast fed only and dropped all night feeds at 2.5 months and sleeping 10-12 hours straight. Took her month to settle into a bedtime, now sleeps from 730-8 ish. She did it on her own. All babes are unique

Thank you for your replies its good to know that they're all different and it doesn't have anything to do with how they're fed. At the moment I give her last feed at around 8.30-9pm and then she goes to bed still in our bedroom she usually wakes at 2am and 5.30. She's getting too big for her Moses now though so we will be moving her into her own room in the next couple of weeks.

Nearly 11 months old and has slept through maybe 3/4 times now!

My first was about a year old before she did, my 2nd did it from about 2 weeks (no kidding!) and now this one is different again. They are so unique!

first one was mix fed and slept 11-8 routinely from about 2wks, 2nd was BF and slept 11-4 from 6wks would feed and go back to sleep till 7, 3rd was again BF and slept 11-4 at about 14wks ,
I really enjoy co-sleeping/bedsharing ( have done with the younger 2 so far ) with my babies and they normally wake in the night for feeds till about 7-9months but normally only 1-2 unless they have a growth spurt lol by 8-9months both the younger 2 were being more disturbed by me than me being woken by them to feed so we moved them to a cot in another room, both only took a week of me going in to feed them once a night to stop waking and calling me for food in the night and would sleep from 7/8pm till 6/7am
