sling or carrier

can anyone suggest a good one of these?

I have the Bushbaby Cocoon. https://www.bush-baby.com/cocoon.html. I found really good for when my baby was young, as the front part detaches easier than the Baby Bjorn, so that the baby can be put down somewhere without waking up. (I found that whenever I wore it from 0-4 months, he would fall asleep and stay asleep!). My husband was also very happy using this in public. I used it up until my baby was almost 7kg (although it started getting quite heavy at 6.5kg).

Now I am using the Kari-Me sling. https://www.kari-me.com/ I didn't understand why people used slings, but now I totally get it. I love it as it is very comfortable and light, and I think I will use it everyday around the house with my next baby. But my husband isn't keen on it (too feminine), so we will still use the Bushbaby too.

You don't need to buy these brand new - I got mine from eBay.
