Hi ladies. I've recently put Macie on the SMA Staydown formula and it seem to be going well.
I was just wondering how many ladies had used/tried it and what you thought??? Xx

Hi hun, Omar was on Aptamil AR which is similar. It really helped in reducing his reflux. He was fully weaned off the anti reflux at 10 months xx

it has been amazing for my daughters reflux.
she is almost 20 weeks and has suffered from about 9wks of age.
literally soaking 5 sets of clothes a day, so many bibs and wrecked her car seat (makes it quite bad, even now she still throws up a lot in it).
my poor baby reeked of acid, it would get in her ears and her hair, I was bathing her twice a day!
GP prescribed Gaviscon but OH is totally anti meds so we didn't use it, plus GP said most babies build up a tolerance to it and then you have to wean them off (if I am correct it is only a milk thickener like the staydown BUT a 'medication')
so, GP prescribed the Staydown.
from the first feed we noticed a difference, she was happy, kept still, less windy and ONLY had a bit of spit up after.
now she is still sick, perhaps still a sicky baby (albeit nowhere near as much as before) but at least she doesn't suffer with the acid, she doesn't cry, fidgit, scream or have watery eyes.
Plus we have two outfit changes a day and one bath.
I cant rate it enough.
It says it thicknes in th etummy but it is naturally thicker.
as a guide I have to use Dr Browns stage 2 and 3 teats and Avent stage 3 and 4.

ollie is on SMA staydown since 8 weeks (HV gave on prescription) and its fab, they said to give it 2 weeks to see if it worked but i saw an instant improvement, he's fine apart from the odd bit of sick now on milk but he projectile vomits anything orange and now fruit, i've been to paediatrician with him this morning and they said just to give it time as sitting up should help and it improves around a year, he's also on ranitidine (was told gaviscon and sma staydown don't mix well).

we love sma staydown, used normal teats and it was a sanity saver
