So confused about dates!!!!! Please help!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this and having a little trouble working out dates - it's driving me mad! My last AF started on the 16th July - this was my first proper one having come off Cerazette. I sort of thought the next one would come one month later and it didn't so I tested and had BFN. But then on 23rd Aug had some v light spotting which must have been implantation bleeding and then a week later I got BFP with quite dark lines. So the question is when is this baby due?! My doc is not very helpful and says the 23rd April but I don't think this is possible. As for symptoms I already have morning sickness - not actually vomiting but wretching every morning (sorry!) and having nausea throughout the day!

Can anyone help?

Very hard to know!
If you had implantation bleed on 24th aug then I'd guess you're about 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant.
It is really hard to tell tho.

My last period was 18th July and I'm due of the 25th April so you would be 2 days ahead of me.... Remember that implantation bleeding can show after implantation has happened as it takes time for the bleed to travel down.

Take your dates from your last missed period, and later on they can give you more of an idea at your scan..

I am confused as well, I don't know if I'll ever figure it out. I was period tracking for over a year & noting every time hubby & I DTD. When we found out we were pregnant, we went by the date of my last period to get a due date & tried to figure out conception from there. We thought we had it figured out & our dr. had told us we were about 6 weeks. When we went to the OB & had the ultrasound they told us we were 10 weeks & that counted back to conception BEFORE my last period. I thought that was weird, but she insisted it was normal.

But if I enter in the closest conception date from my tracker, it bumps my due date to 2 weeks earlier than we were told... so I have NO idea when we actually conceived this child... or if I can really even trust my due date. Cause I don't understand the math.

I realize this has little to do with you question & I apologize. I just wanted to share that it's all very strange. Hopefully you will get a better idea as time goes by & you have more appts.

I guess what confused me is the BFN I had while on hol - I think that was around the 20th Aug ish. It's so strange how they work out dates! I just don't want to go to a scan and not really see anything!!

It depends on how sensitive the test you used was.
You will see something on a scan by now

my lmp was july 28 and i'm due may 6 idk if that helps or not.
i usually have 30-31 day cycles. not sure if that makes a difference though.

hiya i would say you were about 8weeks and 2days, going by your last lmp.
Which should work out for you your due date as 22nd of april.

I will say that with my first two pregnancies i carried on having normal periods until i was 16 and 14 weeks pregnant, so sometimes you cant go by lmp.
I personally would go with doctors scan saying 10weeks, let us know how you get on finding out for sure
