SO confused- missed period BFN

Hi ladies!
This is month 3 of TTC and my cycles are usually about 29 days. This month I am on CD 31 (2 days late). Took a test this AM (I was SURE it was going to be positive) and it was not. It was negative. I am having some minor cramping (more like pressure, not so much pain) and massive bloating. Not much breast tenderness, but I had ONE small light brown spot when having a bowel movement (TMI sorry).

I am driving myself insane. Maybe I ovulated later than I thought? I haven't started to track temps yet but am once this new cycle starts. Is this too late for implantation bleeding? Anyone else have a negative test 2 days after a missed period and end up being pregnant?

It does seem that it's possible that you ovulated late. I would test every couple days until you get a positive or AF shows. And DEFINITELY temp next cycle like you said. That's really the best way to confirm ovulation
