SO confused! What date to go with?

Ok, so according to my last period, due date is November 28, which is what my family doctor has been going by. So that would make me 20 weeks along.

Today my OB said according to measurements due date is actually November 24th. So I would be 20 weeks and 3 days.

BUT my OB said I'm 19 weeks and 5 days along today? I'm so freaking confused!

What do I go by? When do I do the glucose test if I have to do it at 24 weeks? How do I know when to go?

Did my OB mis calculate? How could I have a due date of November 24th but only be 19 weeks and 5 days along?

Sounds to me like you OB made a mistake when she said 19+5. As for the 28th or the 24th, I would say, go with the one that your doctor is using (otherwise it will get confusing trying to plan with two dates in mind all the time), but just expect baby to come anywhere within 2 weeks before or after anyway, because as I'm sure you know, no one ever tells baby the due date!

I was reading that early ultrasound's give you a better estimate for a due date. Their getting November 24th from my 11 +6 ultrasound so wouldn't I go with that? I know it's just a 4 day difference, but I like counting down with pregnancy aps

I'd stick with your original due date. Ultrasounds later in pregnancy are not accurate for due dates. She just miscalculated the 19+5 thing.

Definitely go with your original date. Mine has flip-flopped a few times and that's the date I go with.

I've measured ahead at every scan I've had but the one they go with is the 12 week scan. I'll just be expecting a big baby this time!

I could be wrong...but with my last one, they told me July 05 was my original due date...but at the first tri ultrasound, they said June 25....she ended being born June 17..

With THIS pregnancy they told me according to my lmp due date is nov 27...but with my first tri ultrasound, they changed it to nov 22....it's still in the computer by my lmp...but my apps I'm going by the closer date...I have a feeling the 22 is the close date for me..

In the UK we go by our LMP until our 12 week scan and then the date they get from that becomes an official Estimated Due Date. I got bumped back 4 days at my 12 week scan which was a bit of a bummer :/

I'd go with the date given at your 12 week scan (24th).

4 days isn't a whole lot of difference. Most OB's won't change a due date when it's that close, because the baby could easily come any time within 2 weeks either way.

My dates put my due date at Oct 29, first ultrasound (at 14-ish week, I think) said Oct 20, and my "20 week" (at 22 weeks) put it at Oct 14. The doctor is still going over everything before changing dates, and that's a 2 week difference!

I personally am going with the date that I was at early scan. I was 9w1d by my LMP when I had the scan but Pickle was measuring 8w4d. Not a lot of time between but for ticker and apps I have it set up as my EDD as Nov 8 by the dating scan. My doctor's still has me as Nov 4th by my LMP. So today I am 23w1d by dating scan but by LMP I would be 23w5d.
