Can someone tell me what soft cups are for? :S

In canada safeway carries them too. Of 15 months of ttc we got 2 bfp of 4 (wwith the last, most recent 4 cycles) using softcups - in my books they work! i really hope they work for you ladies. I left them in over night till morning. Tami, I felt I was similar to you, low thyroid too. tweaked it and things are better.

I've bought soft cups (found them in Boots UK ladies) and I'm going to be giving them a go this time along with conceive plus. How long after DTD to you keep them in for and do you still have to keep your legs in the air afterwards?

Good luck!

ickle!!! i wondered where you went! how r u?

im cd 4 n thinking of starting softcups from day 12 n try get some swimmers up there in preparation :)

some women use them as an alternative to tampons etc, they slip over your cervix, you can wear them for up to 12 hours i think. people trying to conceive have had success because if you put one in after BD or already containing semen, it pools it around your cervix so gets the swimmers closer to where they have to go x

Hiya gnome :)

I'm good thanks. How are you?

I tried using a soft cup on Wednesday but I had to take it out after about half an hour because it didn't feel right. I'll have to try again next time we DTD.

That's how long I left mine in too. It's not that it hurt, i was just overly aware that something was down there. I'm going to give it another try next month...maybe it just takes a while to get used to. :)

i was on a real downer few days ago with AF n the cyst business but am suddenly oozing positivity lol, am dropping the weight off left right n centre that i put on with depo, was able to wear heels for the first time in god knows how long (bye bye erythema nodosum >Q coincidence depo< think that ghastly injection is finally out my body or at least thats what im telling myself until next visit from herself lol. actually excited for the u/s lady to violate me with her wand again on 19th n going to go gp few days after and ask him to get me pregnant :haha:

so did the soft cup hurt or like this lady above just felt overly aware of it?

not sure what OH going to make of them but hey lol.

No, it was different from that. Probably because it has that solid plastic ring around it. OH said that if it got stuck he would dig it out for me. I would be so embarrassed....so much for romance and snuggling afterwords! ;)

Well I wasn't sure I put it in the right way up so I pulled it out and turned it over, which probably didn't help. I find tampons uncomfortable though since the laparoscopy to treat my endo though so it could just be that. I wasn't sure that I got it far enough in. I'll try again on Sunday when we're next scheduled to DTD lol.

PMA is always good :) I read on the box that you can DTD while wearing the softcups, obviously not when you're TTC. I don't think I'd like that though.

Lol Popchick - that's definitely not how you want things to go is it?

Put a little preseed in and on it. It makes it super easy to get it in the right place.

Well the dreaded witch turned up so no luck this time... It was only my first attempt and because they arrived later than id hoped, we only used them twice and think the second may have been too late to catch ov... So we'll give it a better go this month...

We have a review apt on thurs so looking forward to that to see what they say... And we start acupuncture this week as well so fingers crossed...

How is everyone else getting on...?

I've had ov confirmed now on FF and only used the soft cups once. I'm not too bothered though, means I've got plenty for next cycle which will be our clomid cycle.

so annoyed at myself, went to town today to buy them and got distracted with buying xmas decs and forgot?! ok tho as not due to ov for another week :) i blame the wasp in home sense, i was weaving round the aisles with me wheeled basket trying to subtly run from it?!
