Is there any difference? It doesn't take much to confuse me these days!

I ask as Emilia is currently on Aptamil Stage 1 as she's coming up to 5 months old. When we start weaning her at 6 months, should we move across to the stage 2 (i get boots points on that one!) or just leave her on stage 1 until she's 12 months?

is there actually any difference?

Wondering the same thing, especially since my wee man hates feeding. Would be so much easier if he could get the same nutrients in less ozs!!

There is no need to switch over. The proteins in stage one milk are easier to digest so some babies might be better off staying on first milk, but equally if your baby gets on with it there is no harm in swapping. It has the same calories per ounce so they would not get more nutrients in less milk (it does have more iron in it though I think) but they need less milk after 6 months anyway as they have solids.

Well if that's the case then I probably will switch over. If the nutrients are the same yet I get points on the stage 2 then I may as well get that as then I will be able to use the points to buy things for the baby.

Yeah no harm in trying it but if you get problems with constipation then might be worth switching back.
