velpicstitch20140609_225604.jpg Saturday left, monday right, still swollen, dr. Not concerned but wow wtf

Ouch, poor you. :( Hope your hubby's giving you lots of foot rubs.

You have my sympathies as I was very swollen with my son. Is it very hot where you are? Are you feeling ok otherwise? Xx

Gosh you poor thing :-( I didn't have swelling with my first and nothing so far with this one so I guess I'm very lucky.

yow! that looks painful, I only get mild swelling if I sit or stand too long, plus with it reaching over the 90s here+ humidity its swelling time.
Does elevating your feet above your waste help? ice packs? I know sometimes loads of decaf ice tea seems to help me.

Ugh that's how mine looked with my first pregnancy. It sucks! Took a few weeks to go away after the birth!

I'm in Florida and it's really hot I also sit all day at my desk

Oh I feel your pain! I'm in Florida too. With my DD I didn't swell too bad during but immediately after I had her I was a giant balloon for a good 2-3 weeks. :hugs:So sorry you're going through this!

Yes it hurts alittle, i didnt swell with dd til the end

Hope it goes down soon for you. I take prenatal yoga and the instructor there tells us to put our feet up to help with such swelling. It could just be as simple as lying on your back with your feet against the wall for a couple of minutes.

your poor thing i had that last time husband kept giving me buckets of cold water and putting them up with pillows was nice this time i'm on my own. hope you get some help cause that looks really bad

Wow yes those are some swollen ankles! I never understood how to elevate my feet because they'd tell me to not lay on my back, but then to put pillows to keep my feet up! How is that supposed to work lol
I hope it goes down for you! I'm sure you know but drink lots and lots of water :)

Yea i.have a footstool at work, doesnt help i drink about 5 bottle waters a day, trying to increase it

Yoga teacher said the feet have to be at a position higher than the heart, so I'm not sure if footstool will be of much help. As for lying on the back, if you're comfortable, then fine, if not she says to prop a pillow against your right hip to keep the body slightly tilted.

I'm really swollen too just in my ankles and feet. No high bp or protein in urine so alls good. It's so uncomfortable though :(

Looks normal to me. That Florida heat will definitely contribute to your feet staying swollen. I was told all the same things: elevate your feet, drink plenty of water, restrict salt intake, and try to move around as much as possible. While all were good suggestions they just didn't work for me. My feet just swell. If you don't have high blood pressure or show any other signs of preeclampsia, doctors really don't worry about it. If they do go down hooray as the tightening and expansion can be painful at times. If not hold on. I would suggest however, if you see any swelling on your hands or face to mention it to the doctor. I was induced at 39wks for this very reason. Had it just been my feet they wouldn't have been concerned.

We have a recliner in our living room as well as another lower reclining style chair. I'll usually sit in the lower one and put my feet up on the arm of the other and it tends to help.
I agree with the fl heat though, here in louisiana you cant escape the humid heat, just try to get through and stay in ac.
