success rate with IUI and clomid? 1st try?

Did you temp at all? If so do you remember if your temps kept going up? Also do you remember if your cervix was really high? I can't even touch mine!

I hope you're right and it is a late implanter, I swore I wouldn't obsess this month and was doing really well until yesterday!

Yes my temps did rise when I got my . i did not check my cervix but i heard high may be a good thing!!

Have you had your blood HCG level checked? Sometimes it takes a while to get into the urine..

No the clinic wont do a blood test unless i've had a positive on a test.

I think i'm out, my temperature dropped significantly this morning.

My progesterone levels hadn't been measured in a while, but my luteal phase was only about 9 days for the previous 3 cycles so the RE put me on them to cover all my bases.

I took a test on 12dpiui and was neg but had my HCG taken at the clinic and it was 8. It was borderline pregnant or not so had my blood taken 2 days later and HCG 42!! Finally got a positive test 13dpiui...i guess I had a late implanter Good luck with everything!!

Hi! Do you remember if you had any cramping just before testing- that would have made you think af was coming?? I have been having mild cramping (it feels like sharp pinches in my vagina) today and yesterday. I am 12dpo, but I tested neg today. Thanks

How did everything go for you at your scan? Have you done you iui yet? I wanted to tell you that I appreciated you posting your progesterone levels for each cycle! I have been asking ppl about their levels a lot because this is my 1st cycle on clomid and my cd21 progesterone was at 165!! FF says I ov on cd17, but I think it might have been one or two days before... Thanks

Actually i didnt have cramping until a couple days later when i would have started AF. I didnt have any symptoms and really thought i was out. I didnt have implantation bleeding, nausea, using bathroom more, sore breasts..nothing ...only cramping when AF was due. Good luck to you

I think this thread has dwindled off, and I have not been on babybump much lately, but you are welcome to message me or post on here if you wanna chat... I get the posts to my email!
I started on here a couple months ago because I needed to talk about things with others who understood, but I also found that it made me dwell on things. Now, I am just trying to maintain a balanced life and "live life" I have been trying for about two years, as well, and we were also going to try IUI as our next step, but another fert specialist recommended doing a clomid challenge test first -which is 6 months of clomid in a row (if needed ).

Were you not ovulating on the clomid for those six months? Why do you feel it was a waste of time? My dr recommended doing 6 mos of clomid in a row- I am on 50mg and I am doing blood tests to confirm ov, but if I want to monitor with ultrasounds I have to pay 200.00 for each one.

i wasn't getting my period or ovulating since i came off bc. i saw her once and shes like oh heres some clomid call on day 35 if you haven't got a period and if a test is neg. no explanation, i didn't even know what clomid did! , no tests besides a blood test on day 21 each month confirming I HADNT ovulated. she would just up my dose. Never had a ultrasound to see if i was producing follicles.. nothing! just heres the pills and out the door. On the 5th month i asked if i could get an HSG and she made me feel stupid like why do you want that?? well it was suggested by a family member.. maybe i had blocked tubes, i asked if we should do a SA she said there was no need.
that is not the way this med. should be handled.. i could have been developing cysts and she would have no idea.
my new dr. monitored the crap out of me, had me on diff. meds, like we were in it to win it and we did!!!!
