Success stories with Male Factor Infertility

mine is a big baby with pills. im lucky i guess he is even taking a multi vitamin and that is only because it is chewable! he finally agreed to GNC Fertility blend and coQ10 but after him refusing to take it and my nagging him, he hid them up in the attic-::shrug::dohh:

I am so glad I found this thread! My DH has low morphology at 1-2% and I get really down thinking it might never happen for us. Thank you for this thread! It reminds me that we are still early in our journey, which is far from over! :flower:

Yes, I am quoting myself lol. I found out on Christmas eve that we are pregnant! Despite the low morph 1-2%, we did it all on our own! Completely unexpected! We had booked all kinds of specialists and were preparing for the worst.

Some of the things we were doing for DH included: Fertilaid vitamins, loose boxers, limited caffeine and no alcohol. He has a varicocele that overheats the sperm, so I think these things helped boost our numbers just enough!

It is possible!!! Do not lose hope!

We had saved some money for IVF. Now I am thinking we will just have a real nice nursery!

Congratulations!!!

We did the same thing, we saved a bunch of money for treatments, now we're thinking of taking a nice vacation before the baby arrives :) Fertilaid did WONDERS for us too! I think it was what did the trick!

Have a very happy and healthy nine months!! :hugs:

PINK PETALS H&H 9 months!

Your story makes me have hope. DH had varicocele as well & we found out about 6 months of TTC. Luckily in OCT 2011 he had a surgery to correct it. His numbers at that time were about 11 million & have since gone up. His last SA this past aug was at 32 million :) . I went off fertilty meds this past oct & I wanted to try the all natural way for a few months.. If nothing we will do IUI in feb :D

JUHNARAE H&H 9 months to you too hun!

Congrats to all the ladies with BFP's and good luck to those who are still trying. After reading this thread, I now have hope. DH and I have been trying for a baby for over a year now. We are now on cycle 14. I had a child in a previous relationship and we are trying for DH's first child. DH has has 2 SA. The first one he had a count of 4 mil with 2% morph. The next SA was 4 mil with 3% morph. He has been taking a daily multi vitamin, but I have contemplated the Fertility Blend for Men. What can it hurt, right?

Absolutely! I he will take it try it! There have been many stories of improvement on it. My DB had a count of 9 mill with low Morph and motility. But I can't get him to take anything so I just keep hoping one good one squeaks through!

Hubby says he'll do anything it takes. He wants this to happen for us so and "naturally". He's not opposed to IUI or IVF, but he wants it so badly to happen on its own. I'm very lucky to have a husband who is willing to try so hard. He is an excellent step father, I just can't wait to see him with a baby. Just hoping that this will give us that extra little push. I do have endometriosis so we are probably going to have a lap done for a "clean up". It's been a few years since my last one.

Your DH is fantastic! if he is so committed you may also want to try acupuncture and Chinese herbs, they do wonders for improving sperm. My DH is being very difficult and it's a straggle to get him to take his supps and herbs, he completely rejected acu as well to my huge disappointment. He has less than 3 mil and for the last 6 months he's been on tonnes of supps but the main problem is that he cant stop with the beer. My doc said absolutely no alcohol and no smoking

My husband rarely drinks and stopped smoking over 10 years ago. I'm thinking of trading in his boxer briefs for boxers. He just looks so yummy in those boxer briefs :) lol. Anything for a baby though :). I'll have to look into the acu though. I've not done much research on that.

Mine just decided that its because he is too old. That's ridiculous. Will not do acu. Pills were too big. Had been at leastbtaking a multi because it is chewable. :dohh: Thankfully he rarely drinks and doesn't smoke and is in good health overall. I have found some liquid supplements I am starting to drop in his juice.

Lol!!! Way to sneak them in there!!! Love it!!!

We've been trying for 6 cycles now with no luck. I'm 34 so my clock is ticking!

Just found out today that DH has 9 mil count so he's low. Normal morphology and motility though (although I need to see a copy of the results to know for sure.)

He also has a small varicocele. We live in Canada so I have no idea how long it will take to get a date for surgery if that's what they recommend.

I'm so worried now that it will never happen...:nope:

Staples my dh had to have the same surgery.. his doctor did it pretty quick. When he first got the surgery he was at 14mill.. now he's at 30 & only getting better :) gl hun!

Thanks Beautifullei2 - are you in Canada too?

No I'm actually in Texas. I'm not sure how they do things over there. Our doctor surprised us when he decided to let us have the surgery. I for sure thought he would make us wait.

FOQUITA- im not sure exactly how to explain but ill try lol. Basically its the veins in the mans testicles which prevents from proper blood flow. It can have a huge effect on the semen that passes through (which leads to low sperm count). Alot of times when the doctor reccomends a simple surgery to fix the problem it can increase the sperm count within 3 months. Some cases it takes longer for the sperm count to rise but will eventually bring it up .Hope this helps

thank you beautifullei :D our FS didn't even mention anything to do with reasons why my OH's count and motility are low :(

Your welcome hun! My DH had it done in october of 2011 & it has gone up slowly but surely.. Our doctor said 75% of the time is jumps up within 3 months & 15% take about a year. We landed in that 15% but now that we know its higher than before we are okay with that. :happydance:
