Super bad bloating at 4 weeks... is this normal??

I feel ridiculous for asking, since this is my third baby... lol. I just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant and I am TERRIBLY bloated. I can't fit my pants!!!! It's painful. I'm pretty small generally, and I look absolutely odd. It's almost like I look 4 months pregnant, but it's a different shape (obvious bloat).

Is this normal and ok? If so, what can I do about it, just wait? I never had this with the other two!! Help!!

I'm 5 weeks and I am incredibly bloated, and gassy. This is also my 3rd baby and i didn't have this with my first two. I would think it's okay but if you are worried definitely go see your doctor. Are you eating any food that might cause it?

Maybe.... I'll have to look into foods that my cause it to rule that out, but I'm glad it's not just me!

believe me its not just you lol i been bloated since 5wks and i still am but i think its settling down a little bit now thankgod cos it was so uncomfortable felt like i was gonna burst!

yes, i am now 12.5 weeks... i've been bloated since 4 weeks... went away weeks 10 and 11, and this week came back with a vengeance!

Same here!!! So uncomfortable too My clothes feel tight because of it and I'm usually tiny. Want to wear maternity clothes already and I've only just found out I'm pregnant lol

So glad I found this thread. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and I'm already having to wear all my baggiest clothes! We went to a wedding reception this evening and one of my friends who's 30 weeks didn't look much bigger than me! And I couldn't even tell anyone. People must have thought I've just been eating too many cakes!!

Hi, my hsuband and i have been trying for a few weeks(i know not long) and im 70%-80% on some days, sure i am pregnant. i feel sick mid morning most days and then again late at night. and i wake up with a sticking out belly and by the time i've consumed my daily intake of food i look 4-5 months pregnant!!! i am due a peroid tomorrow so please keep everything crossed that it doesnt come and that the reason i am bloating is due to me being pregnant!!! but if i am i must only be 3-4weeks? .....x

Before I even took a test I was feeling super bloated and assumed it was my period coming...I've been bloated every since lol I'm 7 weeks now and look about 8 months pregnant because I'm plus size...big round belly!

i've been really bloated since before i even got a positive test, lol... i have to not just unbutton but unzip my jeans to sit comfortably in the car, and i'm only about 4 weeks.

I feel for you. I am ridiculously bloated, especially at night. My stomach feels quite flat in the morning, but as soon as I have something to eat, it just balloons. I feel like a tramp just now because I'm living in joggers and hoodies at night lol.

Im 5 ish weeks and its my 3rd baby (unplanned but loved)

I only took a test cuz i was due at the dentist for an xray so when it come up as positive i nearly fell off the loo seat!Its weird though as with this pregnancy Im so bloated (im wearing my maternity trousers already as my normal ones are tight)And all my symptoms seem to be way stronger than when i was pregnant with my 2 boys,Its either my body being and old pro at being pregnant ....Or Im pregnant with a girl as ive had 2 boys before but this pregnancy seems so accelerated and different to the others.

Jellybean, it's the opposite for me! I have 2 girls, and this pregnancy seems way different than either of theirs. Let's hope it means a boy! Dad would be so happy, lol. I'm happy with a sticky/healthy bean, whichever gender.

Haha ladies! I unzip my jeans in the car too, lol... and switch to sweatpants the second I get home! I had a church function to go to the other night and I tried on about 20 outfits before I found one that fit, and even then I felt like it was cutting me in half

I'm the same as you jellybean, I have a little boy and it was completely different first time round so wondering if it's a girl?! My m/s is much worse too, I've just sent dh to get me some crisps!! Having said that, we're panicking that the bloating and nausea could even mean it's twins!!!
