My 6 year old wants sylvanians for her birthday next month and for christmas. Does anybody have any experience with it.....it's expensive and I don't want it to just be another fad! x

My neice has been in love with Them since she was like 3, they are worth their money IMO, she has all her sylvanians from when she was 3 and she's now 7 and they all look new still the quality is fab, the boys on our family have all started playing with them too am they are 2/3 years old and love them! X

We loved them as kids! had hundreds of them and in my experience they arnt a fad...They are expensive but very very good quality and oh so cute! x

ETA: six isnt too old, we played with ours until we were 11

I have got a few family sets for my DD. I have avoided any with small parts as she is only going to be 3. It is expensive but I think the sets are lovely and will last for years. I don't think 6 is too old, my cousin was still playing with hers at 10/11.

God no 6 defo isn't too old at all!! She will love them hun!! And they are made so beautifully she can keep them for her children when she has them, will be a lovely thing to pass down. X

Thanks so much everyone! Well that's helped me decide....sylvanian families it is xx

I'm 26 now and I've got all my Nan has saved all my Sylvanian families playsets in the loft - I LOVED them as a kid, had hours and hours of fun with them, and I probably played with them till I was 11/12 too. Definitely worth the money as they're well made and last ages (or at least the ones I had as a kid did!) xx
