tacky christmas!

am i the only one out there who loves a tacky christmas?
it makes me feel all cosy haha. and it reminds me of going to my gran and grandads when i was little

my gran used to love a bit of poundshop tack hahaha!!



(probably just me...!!)
the only thing i don't like tacky is the tree, im quite particular about that!!

lmao!! the ones that you have to use half a roll of tape to get them up...
we never have pins!!! *makes mental note to buy pins*

my gran used to have this HUGE snowmen that like opened up... they used to fold flat. does anyone know what i mean haha.

my nana had a plastic snowman and santa that she used to pin to the wall and that kinda popped out lol

I love tack!

You have to duck in my front room at Christmas because of the garlands and dancing Santa.

My house is nice and coordinated 11 months of the year but in December it is tack galore

i might make paper chains with the kids this year, my mum would only ever let us hang em up in our bedrooms coz she doesnt do tacky lol

I like the look of through pretty white end silver decorations but it just doesn't seem fun enough for Xmas to me

omg ive just remembered the smell of dusty old tinsel.
LOVE it. im soooo excited

cant wait to get to poundland when they have all their gear in.

this year, it's nice when they get to the arty stage!

Besides who doesn't when they get the decs out have random small bits of tinsel that will never fit anywhere....baubles that don't match...and all the colours of the rainbow in decs?

i have red gold and green but i have so many random ones coz every year i let the kids pick one from wilko lol and i have like 4 different baby 1st xmas baubles lol and we made salt dough ornaments last year!

it is weird.
i recon it's where i get in a strop taking the tree down because everything gets tangled.
so i just pull the tinsel off and it tears because im THAT strong
