I'm at a loss now, I have no idea what's going on.
This is the first time I have claimed. I claimed based on last years earnings and no award, which I expected, but I have phoned them and told them about my decrease in earning. My expected earnings are £7000 this year including my 33 weeks maternity pay. But the guy I spoke to informed me that the first £100 a week of your mat pay isn't counted so to minus that off, as I will be off on mat leave for the first 33 weeks of the year that's minus £3300 leaving my earnings at £3700. My partner earns £15,200. That's a total of £18,900.
According to the tax credit calculator on HMRC website we should be entitled to approx £2800 (ish, I forget the exact number) but it works out at around £40 a week.
This figure is also in line with what the entitlement table states.
So I am still waiting on my new paperwork telling me what my award is when considering my decrease in wage.
And today I get a payment off them of £4.83......wth???
That surely can't be what they have worked out my weekly entitlement to be??
Anyone any clues or had a similar thing happen? I know I should just wait til I get my paperwork and see what it says but that could take ages so just wanted to see if anyone has any idea.
