Tax Credits!

I had my tax credits changed. I informed them that Unfortunatly my husband got fired yesterday, an I looked back over my payslips from Feb till April an realized my hours had changed from 25 a week to 10 or less (its a 0hrs contract). Could we end up owing them money even though our income has dropped? Sorry if im being thick!

I'm not too clued up on tax credits but if your incomes dropped then surely you'd be entitled to more? I don't think you'll owe them anything, only if you started earning more surely?

You might be as the minimum number of hours is 16 for one person and 24 for two for a joint claim. But than again don't they assess you for the last year?
