im getting more contractions/ tummy tightnings this morning and now the spotting is gone. i think the mucus plug is all gone to. the only problem i have is i cant feel all the contractions down below but my tummy goes rock hard for a bit. i tihnk i might be leaking fluid too, i was 1 cm on wed. so i think i might go in again to be checked and c whats going on

Congrats to all who have had there lil ones. I also had mine, she was induced due to pre-eclampsia, and after a two day induction, Makenna Elise made her arrival into the world on September 22 at 7:16 am. She weighed in at 8lbs 11oz and 20" long. I am feeling pretty sore after some major bumps in the road during the process, but its so worth it! Good luck to all who are still waiting for their precious ones! Will post a pic later as she is getting fussy now!

Congrats to all the mum's who have had their bubbas!
I'm playing the waiting game, now two days overdue, sweep last wed and am just losing a bit of plug, another one this wed. I'll be induced this day week if I don't go myself, which I want to avoid if possible. Here's hoping we don't have much longer to wait!

Eleanor Holly Cooper was born on Tues 27th Sept at 10.26pm weighing 7lbs 1oz.

Our beautiful baby girl, Maeve, was born on Thurs 29th Sep at 7.55am, 8lb 13oz, it was a water birth with just gas and air, on arrival at hospital I was already 9cm dilated!

Hope all the ladies who are still waiting don't have long to go and big congrats to all the other new mums

Cora was born on 28th Sept at 4.38pm at home in a birth pool weighing in at a whopping 9lbs 1oz!

Looks it was a busy week last week for births!

kaydence arianna was born 10-01-2011 by induction at 5:29 am. 8 lbs 2oz 21 inches long with a 13 cm head... 13 hours from start of induction at 2 cm to 9.5 cm and 45 min delivery....shes perfect in every way and a great baby pics will b added soon...

Just checkin in to see how all the other new mama's are doing. Makenna is doing well, she is back up to her birth weight and more by now I am sure, so she is eating like a champ. I am definetly tired, but the naps during the day sure are helping. Hope everyone else is doing great!

Congrats everyone! Christian James was born September 21 weighing 7lbs 7oz and 20 inches long! Labor was farely quick, and I only had to push for ten minutes! We have had some struggles with acid reflux and colic so far, but I love being his mom!

we have figured out that kaydence cannot be disturbed during her long nap or she is a major grouch! she has discoverd her voice and decides to scream now instead of her little fuss she did for the first few days. were having some troubles with feeding because she gets to frustrated and wont eat much she just screams then falls asleep untill i try to move her then wakes up and screams more. im trying to pump for her but still havnt got that down yet either i forget t do it while shes asleep then i think shes going to wake so i dont and completly forget. i hope every1 and there LOs are doing good

Can you try feeding her whilst she is still really sleepy? She might fuss less that way. Themore awake and hungry she is the more frustrated she will get. Have you got a slow let-down? Can you feel your let-down? It sounds like maybe it is taking a little while for your milk to start coming out and she is getting frustrated with the wait. You could try expressing for just a few minutes before she feeds to ensure that your milk is there ready for when she latches on.

The breastfeeding forum here is great for support and the ladies there are full of great advice.

As for pumping, I would recommend pumping after each breastfeed toget your supply up if you think supply is an issue. It might seem like you aren't getting anything out, but the sucking action on your nipples will make you produce more milk in the days to come.

i did a lot of reading around breastfeeding when I had my first as I encountered quite a few issues so if you have any other questions then I'd be happy to try and help

my milk is there forsure and at times i actually think she might get too much because it will run down her chin or she will spit it up. i figured out that if i prop up pillows high enough that she is right at the nipple and her body is kinda at an incline she does alot better. her hands still go up by her face sometimes but not fighting as much that way. i just figured this out yesterday after i posted this. i wish i would of figured it out earlier...i really think shes just lazy...

Have you been in the breastfeeding forum here, lots of great advice. I hope it gets better for you, the first few weeks can be REALLY hard. Get help if you can
