How is everyone doing?

I hope you all had a good easter! I have no idea as usual what is going on with me!

I could either be 12dpo today, but I had some smiley faces on a clearblue opk a couple of days ago - so I may just be 2dpo as well!

So really confused at the mo, just wish things were straight forward for a change!!!

Your chart looks to me like you O'd on cd 24....making you 2dpo. You got lots of spermies in there, so hopefully it pays off!

I think your right! Think I'm now 4dpo today! Hopefully enough spermies waiting, even though I didn't manage to bd on ovulation day or day after!

Guess I'm gonna have to wait and see!

hi all,

not been on in a while, just moved house which was a chore in its self! so just got our sky n internet back on!
my grans been admitted to hospital with a collapsd lung and was diagnosed with cancer on her ovarys yesterday!! so not good at the moment! we find out today once the consulants etc have had a big meeting as to what to do next. so baby making has been last on the agenda!

I'm just trotting along waiting for O.....hoping it comes sooner rather than later. We shall see.

My temp today was sky high since I slept through my alarm and then got up and played with my DD in the bed before remembering to temp. I hate when I forget abt it and then end up with some atrociously wrong temp. Oh well, at least it happened early in the cycle when O is practically not possible for me.

i know what you mean amberdawn i was a bugger for forgetting or sleeping in when doing temps,it eventually got to the stage where i never remembered to do it all.

im good at the minute nnn but ask me again in an hour and ill probably tell you a different story,lol,
im not really sure how far on i am,ive got a scan on 20th of april so ill know better then,i cant wait.

Hope this is the right place to post this..!

So I have always had irregular and long cycles.. like maybe only 6 periods a year.. I am kicking myself for not paying any more attention before..!

I usually have no clue where I am at.. AF is here today so I guess I can finally start trying to figure out what is going on with some level of knowledge. I'm trying this thing where you sleep in darkness except for the nights of the full moon in which you turn a small light on. I read that some women have great success getting their cycles to sync up with the moon and thus regulate and become shorter. I am hoping that will work for me but.. I dunno.. I am also taking maca.. well I bought some and hubby has been taking it but I have only taken it once so far because of the taste. Interestingly enough that was 4 days ago when my cramping started and I had such a weird start to AF that I had never had before that I thought maybe I was pregnant and it was IB. No idea if Maca could have *THAT* fast a response but thought it was interesting after having no sign of AF in a little over 2 months that it would start to come at EXACTLY the day after I had some Maca the night before.. but anyway..

So I am considering going to my doctor for a full workup to try and figure out what is wrong.. I don't think it's PCOS.. but I have no clue what else to look for.. how do I know if my cycles are annovulatory.. or just long..? Where to start..? I know that we haven't been TTC for a long time yet but I do already know that something is wrong with my cycles so why wait ykwim..?

Hey hun,

Yep, I think you've come to the right place!

We all started off here with long irregular cycles - ranging from 50 - 150 days!!

So we all know how it feels to not have a clue with what is going on.

The first step I would say is to go to the doctors! They will get some blood tests done, to rule everything out, or find a problem. Some of us on here have found out we have PCOS, although we may not have any symptoms of this, A scan or blood test has confirmed this.

Have you just come off BCP?

After the tests, you may well be referred to a specialist, for normally some more testing... and like some of us on here be given clomid to help with regular ovulation.

I think we've had around 4 BFP's in this thread so far, which I know seemed a long way off for a lot of them. So keep hold of a little hope, and feel free to ask any questions!

Well, Just an update.

the arrived for me so Im on to another cycle. My last on Clomid I think.

I have a hycosy scan booked in for next wednesday 28th so I am dreading that!! Not sure what to expect at all - before - during and after!!

But will be going on my hols about a week after that, so Im desperatly hoping that the scan will help perhaps clear my system, and that I will get plenty of in on holidays to hopefully get that amazing when I get back!

I guess theres no harm in dreaming!! But will keep you all updated on my last cycle!

Welcome IzzyAnt!
Going to the gynecologist would be the first step. They will do tests if need be. I personally have had success using agnus castus at shortening my cycle. I've had 40+ day cycles for forever and they've never been regular. Towards the end of a 73 day cycle I started taking agnus castus and sure enough AF arrived only a few days later. My cycle after that was a nice and normal 35 days and my current cycle is probably going to be 29 or 30 days (I ovulated yesterday on cd 18 and have abt an 11 day LP). So definitely getting to a normal length. Best of luck to you and FX'd!!!

nnn- FX for you this cycle! Sorry af got you...at least your cycle was only 40 days.

I just ovulated yesterday, so I'm in the 2ww. Only got one day of bd'ing in, but FX'd that that's it all it will take.

Yep, they normally do a blood test on cd3 and then again on cd21. This normally checks all your hormone levels. If you have pcos then you may have elevated levels of LH, and if you don't ovulate or if you have a progesterone defficency, then the blood tests will tell all.

Although, bear in mind, I hade the blood tests all came back fine with no sign of pcos, but a few months later a scan revealed I had PCOS.

Just thought I would update you all.

Had my hycosy scan today, the specialist was lovely and explained everything. It wasn't the nicest of procedures, quite painful, but that all went after an hour, and now I am feeling fine.

I had the results there and then. My tubes are all clear - she was very happy with the results, and she even saw 2 large folicles in my right ovary which she said it looked like I would ovulate in the next 24-48 hours!!!

Hopefully I will and that I have a good chance this cycle.

I'm on 6dpo and ready to test....but trying to hold out til Mother's Day (US) on May 9th.....Don't know if I have that kind of willpower though. We shall see!

We're currently WTT and in a couple of months we'll be TTC again. I can't start a fertility friend chart until I get my first period and I have no bloody idea when that will be!!! Could be a long time..............what's new hey?!
