Team CD 80+

I'd like to join too.

I'm normally a regular, but not had anything since June 15th. I've never been on the pill, and my husband and I only ttc about 2 weeks ago but hpt are coming back negative. I got the nurse to take a blood sample to see what's going on and I have a doc's appointment on Thursday to discuss that.

I'm wondering if I'm just stressed which may have caused it.

cd83 (i think). Anyone got any advice?

Hi Ladies,

Welcome to the cd80+ thread :flower::flower:

We all know how difficult and awful it can be during very long cycles. I think the best thing we have all done on this thread is visited the Doctor, to see what is causing the problems. Some of us have had Clomid to help regulate our cycles, some have been referred to Fertility Specialists, and some of us have even moved on to IUI and IVF - Of course, some of us have had a bfp while we wait! I think there are a few records earlier in the thread on that!

The first thing the doctor will do will probably be to arrange some blood tests just to take a look at your hormone levels etc.

Good luck on your journeys and keep us posted!

Lots of sticky :dust: to you all!

Thanks nnn84,

Still no sign of the witch but my body has been showing all the signs this time round unlike last month.

I checked and I'm now cd 86(yesterdays number was wrong!). I so wish I noted all my visits from her this past 12 months so I could guestimate the possible due dates for ovulation. It's so frustrating that I can't be anymore proactive :(

Do you take your temps hun?

I use Fertility Friend to jot down my dates and temperature, and it predicks your ovulation (for regular cycles) and will tell you when it thinks you ovulated!

I would have been useless with out it, and it sure does help to know if you are ovulating - your temp needs to be consistently high for 3 days before the prediction is made.

Take a look at my Fertility Friend Link below my post - if you read the information they tell you when you click on the link, it will make a lot more sense!

I know temping is a nightmare and you can get fed up of doing it with long cycles, but it does help you to see where you are in your cycles, and if you have any patterns in your cycles!

Thanks for that! I'll have my brew and terrys chocolate orange and take a look at the link.

Must admit I don't have any sort of thermometer to take any temperatures, I think I need to take a trip into town at the weekend and see whats on offer.

Current status: cd87 and :(

I think I had my first themometer from a pharmacy, but my second thermometer was from Tesco, and that has lasted very well!

It does take a bit of getting used to, but at least you will feel like you are doing something while you wait for a new cycle.

hey ladies well i thought the witch may be on ehr way as had some signs of her but she seems to of flew back away now:shrug:

UPDATE: AF IS FINALLY HERE!

I'm so happy, it's untrue. I have never been so pleased to see her ever. Now I can get back to normal. I've started using fertilityfriend, so my next plan now is charting everything.

Great news hun!

Good luck with the charting - It will definately help!

Lindseyanne - Have you got any symptoms? Maybe take a test just in case, alot of people think that af might be on the way, then the symptoms disappear, and they get a bfp!

Good luck both xx

Hey ladies
Yeah temping is def a way to see what's going on with your cycles. I temped before and it really helped me. Also pay attention to any ovulation pains you may or may not have. Those were a good indicator for me too.
Oh and I used to buy OPKs in bulk at a great price. Must remember the name of the website

Well my LO is nearly 6 months and my 3rd period is only 4 days late!!! Am well chuffed!

anyone else got a cyle as long as mine?

Hey hun,

I concieved on CD 180 so dont give up hope!! It can happen at any time :hugs:

Well, after having Ava, me and OH have kinda decided we want another one quite soon, so i think were NTNP at the moment and seeing what happens, so I might be back here soon! :)

xx

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum, but after coming off BCP had a 6 month gap with no period, did eventually ovulate, and I'm now on CD84....sigh.
Good to know there are others out there in the same boat! I did have regular periods before going on BCP 12 years ago. I never knew it would take so long to get my cycle regular again!
Is anyone else experiencing long irregular cycles because of the pill? Lots of people seem to, but not QUITE as long as mine, so its good to find this thread! When people are complaining about having 35 day cycles I want to shout at them! Hee hee

Hi Sherley
I was on BCP BECAUSE of my cycles. I went on it at 17 as I was annoyed they were always late.

Don't give up hope. Loads of us in this thread have conceived really late in our cycles. My longest was 113 days and then the cycle afterwards I got pregnant.

I know what you mean, "oh I had a 30 day cycle this month" WTF? Jammy buggers!

helloo girls

im still here just not been on as much, still same old same old... nothing changed, periods still all over the place... hopfully signing upto a study with the local hosp where they will start me on metformin and put me on a drug called liraglutide which will help with weight loss, we shall see!

how r u all? xxxx

Thanks for that Chele.... have seen GP today and they are ordering ultrasound and blood tests, they dont seem to think it could be related to BCP after 8 months. So feeling happy in some ways to be getting investigated, and sad because of all the potential options I am being offered already, like Clomid. Had hoped it wouldnt come to that!

Have you had your tests Sherley?

Yes I have Chele! Thanks for asking. Ultrasound - normal with a follicle developing - not so good news on the blood test - elevated FSH and LH. I dont know 'how' elevated, but have an appt with GP on Thurs. Feeling very down hearted....
Oh - and GP has referred me to a fertility clinic...
