I'm fine... it was not a sticky bean so we are on to the next cycle...good news is we know it can happen :) going to see the fertility specialist today too...YEY

Thanks Ready

We are fine, about to start IVF in my next cycle I believe...already had a ton of blood work being done and dye test on Tuesday, the week after we should have a plan of action and go from there

How are you doing?

What are your thoughts Ladies?

I start a position with a new company on September 12. We had planned on TTC August onward so I would be pregnant and deliver by May or June 2012. Well since I am starting with the new company, I do not think it prudent to get pregnant now since I am newly starting at this job. I have now pushed TTC out to March or April of next year which would have me in the new position 6 months and when I reach 6 months of the pregnancy I would have been on the new job for 12 months reaching my one year mark.

My question is do you think that is a good plan or is there a standard time to wait to get pregnant after starting a new job?

Maternity benefits start 30 days after hire. Onsite daycare so no need to worry about where to place the little one. What I am really excited about is that they give you 9 weeks of paid maternity at full salary and than another 3 weeks at part time hours to get back into your normal work routine. I want to get pregnant just so I can utilize the maternity benefits!:haha::blush:

Awww. I'm so sorry to hear this! Praying for you!

Dyme Diva--Personally, I wouldn't let any job hold me back from conceiving. It's not fun to consider, but age does play a part in fertility. Putting it off a year could take away your chance to conceive. I guess you'll have to decide for yourself if that is a risk you're willing to take. I wouldn't, myself. Now, I'm not saying that your plan of waiting would definitely take away your possibility to conceive. Many older gals are proving this everyday. But the reality is, not everyone over 40 is able to conceive. Congrats on your new job!

TaeBoMama~

Thanks. I thought of that too because of my age but I find that my hormones are not always behaving the same monthly and I wanted to gain some consistency. I take acupuncture and I am working with my practitioner to regulate them. Age is definately not our friend but when I mentioned this to my RE she did not seem concerned with my age. I'll be 42 in April and wanted to be pregnant by that milestone. I really want a 2012 baby so I have not given up the idea to TTC just not letting it overwhelm me with all of the other things going on.

This new position is an excellent career step for me and I want to do both have the dream job and expand my family!

Thanks again for the feedback, it gave me a different persepctive to consider.

I agree with Taebo... Heck I am a planner too and we were certain it would happen for us right away...yet here we are still...and now going to IVF because of age too (if I wait again it may be too late to use my own eggs!)...boy did we learn our lesson...

FYI, the RE here has a cut off for using your own eggs at 42...hence our hurry now. Once I get a bunch of eggs out I can freeze them and use them later...but it's now or it will have to be donor eggs

Thanks LL~

We decided to TTC from now until December, if we do not get a bean by than we will take a break until March. Either way we are gearing up for a 2012 Baby.:happydance:

I am a planner too. I want to plan conception based on when I want to deliver. I really should not, it may cause more stress than necessary...

I just plan on relaxing and enjoying the new job, the perks and being happy!

D~
